In this aspect of career achievements. Floyd WILL have surpassed SRR. NOT overall career achievements but he will have done something SRR didn't even do and that is 41-0-0 career start.

Respect whether you like it or not. Mayweather surpasses him in this aspect.
According to your logic, Ottke and Calzaghe were both greater than SRR.

One thing in favor of Pac is that while his wins might not be all that "great" against some of the fighters, he at least did what he's EXPECTED to do. Everyone knows now that DLH was drained and shot but at least Pac did what you're supposed to do to a shot fighter you **** THEM UP. Everyone knows Hatton had lost punch resistance and was there to be taken out, and Pac did what you're supposed to do to a shot fighter, he KTFO him in 2 ****in rounds. Mosley is there for the taking and if Mayweather doesn't do what he's expected to do here then he's a ****in ***** coward.
Styles make fights, those fighters were coming at Pac also, Marquez doesnt fight like that. I have my own reasons for why Floyd didnt walk through Marquez, since youre trying to put things into perspective, why didnt Pac knock Clottey out?

It's still a great win because it was like 120-108 but it is just frustrating and yes if Floyd does the same safe bull**** against Mosley tonight, his legacy will take a big hit, at least with me (I'm sure with many/most others as well).

Pac couldn't knock Clottey out period. Pac doesnt' have power like that. Only reason he KTFO Hatton is because Hatton was already just about KTFO by Lazcano and had no punch resistance left. Did Pac KTFO Cotto? Did he KTFO DLH? Nope and Cotto doesn't even have a great chin. Pac's power at higher weights is over rated he doesn't have huge 1 shot power, he just has brutal assault. Clottey not only has too good a defense for that but too good a chin AND fought safe like a giant ***** and ruined the fight. If Clottey opened up like a man and fought he'd get TKO'd too.

Your reasons for Floyd fighting like that against JMM? Let me guess because he treated it like a sparring session and wanted to get some rounds in the bank to brush off his rust. Perhaps but I doubt it.

good post, however i think you're bein a lil harsh on shane. he looked tremendous in his last fight, i know that was over a year ago now, but i don't think shane is the same fighter as the one who was labouring against mayorga. guess that's hard to say off the basis of 1 fight, but man what a performance. he killed margarito. looked quick as he ever has, threw excellent combos, gd jabs, was busy, tons of power. i think he may b rusty and this fight might've come too late for him, but if the rust isn't a big problem i think this will be a great fight. shane and ****m seem like a great partnership.

well he's greater to me too as of this moment...but that could change (for me) in 2 hours and counting...perhaps I should redact my statement and not say that Floyd will be greater tonight but I'll say they are equal if Floyd destroys Shane and guess what...that sets up the perfect fight to break the stalemate.....Mayweather vs. Pac

floyd can only be greater than the greatest sugar ray robinson in floyd's mind. the Great sugar shane mosley needs to bring floyd back to reality. and knock some sense into that boy. if floyd wins, he'll be an ATG, but up there yet.
