I completely understand it that he deserves a lot of the **** thrown his way. Just missing weight, especially by that amount, was disrespectful to everyone involved. I just hope he's able to dig himself out of the hole he dug for himself because he's an excellent boxer that's still competitive in his 5th weight class and he's a fellow countryman.

Casamayor needs to retire already he has no business being on top of a ring anymore, he is going to get hurt. But oh well ,if he thinks he can do it then all power to him , but HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA he is going down. he got lucky last time

        Marquez vs Guzman

How much common sense does it take to figure out that out of the four fighters on the card (joan guzman, juan marquez, joel casamayor, juan diaz) the fight to be made is joan guzman vs. juan marquez at 135 (or catchweight)?

Diaz and Casamayor could have battled it out on the undercard of Guzman-Marquez.

I'm not sure Guzman-Marquez is appealing enough for me to shell out 40 bucks, but at least I'd think about it.

Marquez-Diaz 2 is a waste of time, bandwidth and ring space.
Agree with you men... that's the fight that really makes sense ... Unfortunately Marquez team has already rejected in at least two occasions we, being the last time early last year (2009). However, I believe the GBP is preparing with this presentation and if both win their commitments, we must prepare for that war. Recall that since the end of 2009, Guzman belongs to GBP so both are now the same team.

i hope the promoters crash and burn on this one. the main event looks to be a boring one. And anyone giving Guzman another chance should be shot! And to think its Casamayor who is matched against him. What's this, a sheep being offered to a crocodile who doesnt follow weight rules?
