Oh I just took a close look at Floyd when he entered the ring and then I subtracted 8 pounds because I know I can be biased at times.

Still no word on how credible this Garcia dude is though.

The only question i have about floyd is that when he retired late 2007 the WW top ranked guys were cotto, williams, mosley and cheato and of course floyd. All of these guys were looking to fight floyd in 2008 but he retired, i just thought that was very strange, all huge fights too imo

Floyd had already defeated them all several times in fantasy matchups.

There has been talk of Shane fighting Floyd since 135, but Shane went to the bigger better challenge in a prime DLH skipping a weight class. Shane was to old to fight 3 years ago but apparently right now he is young enough to fight.

Floyd does a lot to make sure his fighter has some sort of disadvantage, he fights them old or out of weight class. Floyd can beat anyone to bad he never tried to find out. He would be seriously mainstream pulling in big dollars for anyone if all he did was fight. He had 5 or 6 months between alot of fights.

Margarito threw out a open challenge he practically stalked Mayweather there is even a video of him trying to articulate that he believed he was the best and that Floyd felt he was the best and they needed to sort it out. Floyd looked terrified wouldn't even look him in the eye. So you don't know what your talking about. Before he retired he had alot of challenges he would not take, but no one deserved a shot or they were to old.

I agree with you. The only one of that four i see giving floyd a real run and maybe beating him would be williams and i also realise that most of the WW division avoided williams too and not just floyd. Plus cotto was undefeated then and even after his loss to cheato he still pulled great figures with pac so a fight with floyd then would have been mega. I do agree that cotto possibly avoided floyd at 140 though.

erm i think im agreeing with your point of view for the most part

Actually better late than never with shane, so credit to floyd for taking the fight but on the other hand the fight did just land on him after the quake and if he turned it down it would have been a disaster for him probably but its happening now so its great, hope its a competitive fight

Mayweather never hydrated over 149lb in a WW fight which is less than what most LWW's weigh in the ring.
That's what people seem to forget Ricky Fatton walks around at 180lbs when he's not training. So he's use to the extra weight.

Here's how fat Dan sees Floyd's opponents at WW so far:

these are the fighters he has faced at welterweight:

                  • Faded former junior welterweight titlist Sharmba Mitchell in a monumental mismatch.

                  • Former undisputed champion Zab Judah, who was coming off a loss to journeyman Carlos Baldomir.

                  • Baldomir, the utterly outclassed but legitimate champion at the time, whom Mayweather understandably faced so he could claim the lineal title.

                  • Ricky Hatton, the junior welterweight champion who was coming up in weight and had struggled in a previous trip into the division.

                  • Juan Manuel Marquez, the lightweight champion who jumped up two weight classes to fight Mayweather in the latter's September comeback bout. For that fight, Mayweather, who already had every conceivable advantage, still came in over the contract weight.

HOWEVER, the way Floyd ducked prime Cotto for Hatton was slightly disgraceful... although I put as much blame on Cotto for that not happening.

I really don't like the way Arum fighters don't stick up for themselves and call out the best.

                    Anyway, good list.
floyd called cotto out and cotto didnt want none

fail floyd called cotto out but cottos camp said that cotto was too green for floyd.

dont matter if it was prime cotto either, he was still too green, floyd would have beat his ass
