I don't know man... in a fight of this magnitude I think in a unification bout it would be worth it to let the dude recover on the break personally. It was a good stoppage technically but in this case I don't agree with the stoppage it happened way too fast. He should of took a knee for the eight count but it happenned so damn fast there wasn't much time to...iono thats just my take on it.

yeah but the thing is maybe the ref didn’t realize there was only 1 second left and while a fighter is out on the ropes like that 1/2 seconds can be the difference between fighting again and getting permanent brain damage maybe worse

i don't think it was an early stoppage. no one should be gettin hit like that. if hasegawa could've just held on for a second i think he would've been alright though

He would have stopped him in the next round anyway.

you don't know that. IO thought it was a bad stoppage and when there's 1 second left, every fighter should be given the benefit of the doubt and allowed to continue.

That was a good stoppage imo.

He was clearly out of it, was not defending himself and only the ropes held him up.

good stoppage he was out on the ropes not defending himself the ropes were the only thing keeping him up does not matter if 1 second was left or 1 minute was left good call

Good stoppage. Hasegawa was a sitting duck, he wasn't with it the ref had to stop it.
