i can't believe that there are people in here not giving montiel credit for this victory crying about an early stoppage, thats incredible....the first hook got him but the second one was very hard,he was standing perfectly and hit him with everything when he landed that punch, hasegawa fell to the ropes and then he still landed like two hard uppercuts, don't know what people are upset about,if there was one second or 10 left oh well,a ko is a ko,get over it people, besides montiel already said he'll give him a rematch if he wants one, hasegawa was very hurt, montiel probably would have ko'd him in the next round, don't think a minute of rest would have helped him

      two very good fighters

it was a very good quality fight both fighters showed there stuf. ref was right to stop this fight just like it was right when the ref stoped the jcc taylor 1 fight, a tragedy can happen at any moment regardless if its seconds from the end of round or in the middle of the round. to be good at picking winners in anything emotions have to be left out of it or your judgements will be lacking i personally favered montiel to win based on his past output but hasa also had a good chance to win. montiel was coming in to this fight the better schooled fighter and hasa had the advantage of being at home which is huge if you think about it. hasa is not a bum he did a good fight but he met up with a an elite in todays boxing. ps pro boxers do it for money that is why hasa did his defences of his title at home becouse there was more money in it for him there, nobody ever critisises u.s. boxers for not fighting more fights over seas the fight was a big event in japan and probaly the promotor made a good profit from it some thing that probally could not happen away from japan.
