Most media don't like Floyd so why would they give him any credit?

Like the media who rates Pacquiao ahead of Floyd. I'm not saying Pacquiao is not great, but how do you say Floyd's opposition has been weak when he has fought 3 fighters that Pacquiao fought? Most media don't even like Floyd the person, so they take there anger and hate out on his accomplishments. Thats not right. Thats why Floyd has so many Fans. Yeah alot of people want to see him get beat, but alot of people want to see him win to.

If Floyd kissed the media's ass, he would have won fighter of the decade trust. But because he says **** like (i don't read your articles) and ignore there bull ****, they write negative about him and his career. I've been watching floyd since he first turned pro. G.hernandez was suppose to be too experienced for him. Manfredy was suppose to be a threat. Corrales was suppose too knock him out. Castillio was suppose to beat him. Judah was suppose to be his equal. Baldomir was suppose to be too big and strong. De lahoya was suppose to be too big at 154. Hatton was suppose to be his duran fight. I heard it all. Manny steward once picked Shamba Mitchell to beat Floyd lol. If you won't give him credit, I will.
How did Floyd win those fighter of the year awards if the media is not favorable to Floyd?

        So,

context doesn't count, or is it strictly about numbers?

If he would have just stuck to hs usual line of I'm a boxer, and have put 30 years in trying to perfect that, then why would I say anyone else is better. If he stuck to that, I can respect that, but there's no need to go and discredit ATG's.
I just think the guy is hurt, then angry, and now he just has that **** the world attitude. This dude been fighting his entire life and for the media to keep saying **** like he hasn't fought anybody(which is bull ****). Walk a mile in his shoes. You train your ass off, win all your fights, blood sweat and tears just to get no credit. Thats why he says **** legacy because from hearing some fans and media, he doesn't have one.

            That was on point.

When you start discrediting legends who put in the work to get where they got and put you in position to make the amount of money you're making now, you're an *******/prick/**** ***** ass *****.

I don't care if what he said was on point (which it wasn't) and he actually knew what he was talking about (which he doesn't), he's on the wrong.

I know that and you know that. But thats from a fan perspective. Come from a fighters perspective. If he ever gets beat, watch how many writers and people say he was overrated or a fluke

He does. He said that he's better because SRR lost and he hasn't.

[QUOTE=Giovanni18;8226117]im not mad i just think he's wrong...why cant Floyd just be the best of THIS generation? Correct me if i'm wrong but I never heard Michael Jordan downplay his predecessors, or Lebron trashing Jordan's legacy, they just win and say thank you to the fans for making them millions. a person can have class and an opinion at the same tim

This is boxing not basketball. Ali did it all the time. He discredited Marciano,Louis,Patterson and many others who were before him.
