That is funny because, he always said SRR was the greater fighter. That SRR was the greatest fighter P4P of all time. Including greater than Ali himself, He said SRR was his idol...

He always said SRR was greater than him... But, I guess fans nowadays would say whatever that fits their agenda.

my opinion is floyd had his chance to prove his greatness overall but he retired,im a floyd fan but after beating hatton if he went on to beat cotto, margarito, mosley, pwill and then pac man no one could could deny his greatness.

The fighters back then are not better cuz they just fought 15 rounds. Floyd and Pa could fight 15 rounds. That has noting to do with it. It is the skilled, accomplishments, resume, that makes some of the old school fighters greater
what are theses accomplishments can you please state them.name atleast 4 great fighters on ali fraziers hagler and foremans resume

if it wasnt to late for pac to be judge of the last 2 to 3 years of fighting, then it damn sure isnt to late for floyd when pac fought shot and tailormade fighters
Pac resume>Floyd I have always said that and I will debate that with anybody... Floyd never fought anybody as good or as versatile as a prime MAB in the first fight. Floyd has never fought anybody as slick as Sasakul...

Learn about boxing first. And, then you can find out style makes fights.... That is why Floyd stayed away from Stevie Johnston...

Yeah, taking a shot from JMM is comparable to taking a shot from Ken Norton.....ok. The difference between the boxers of way back and the boxers of today is that they fought twice as long, twice as hard, and twice as often. Fight 15 rounders every month and give it your all in there as if you would rather die than lose and then talk about the differences between the eras.

                  I,? Agenda? lol

Then why didn't he say "I Am the Second Greatest?"

On less televised and coveraged media spots he might have said that, but on all the juiciest soundbites of his era, that assertion was no where to be found. It was just, "The Greatest"

Likewise, Floyd has given props to other fighters of other eras.. it just wasn't covered as well. Because people love to fixate on this one part of his persona.. He himself said in this interview "Money Mayweather" is a character only. A show.

If it makes you feel better, deep down he probably feels the same way Ali did about SRR, or.. feels that way about Ali. As a fighter it would be very difficult not to.

                    Why?

So you can nit pick and try and denounce each one he names and then state why Floyds opponents were better?

I'll just get it out of the way for you.

Baldomir, Hatton, JMM>>>>>>>Frazier, Patterson, Liston, Foreman, Ali, Mugabi, Leonard, Duran, Hearns, etc etc etc.

Ali fought in the Golden era of HW's...

What do you mean what makes him now? Are you just going to repeat what that man says all the time? Half the time he makes no sense

why do people decry him for saying these things??..........he is allowed to....it's not disrespectful to the past champions no matter how untrue it is.........i have no problem with him "thinking" he is the best ever........
