why is fighting 15 rounds a big deal?most of those fights fighters look exausted anyway
What do you mean boxing back in the day? Like who are you talking about?

Fighters in the turn of the century fought 20 rounds some of them even more. Some fights went all the way up to 50 rounds.... You don't think they should be exhausted? You don't think if Floyd or Hopkins were fighting 20 round fights that they would not exhausted? And, not every elite fighter were exhausted from 15 round fights. Some of them were just as stronger or stronger at the end of the fight.

So I don't get where you're coming from with this post?

you just came in here, seen someone say something about Floyd, and you rushed straight into defense mode.

Watch the video first. He gets his feelings hurt because Jim Rome, an actual Floyd fan, because he basically disagreed about Mayweather being the best of all time. He got defensive and pouty and made horrible reasons as to why Ali was not better.

i seen it live so what are u talkin about?floyd just gave his oppinion on a question jim rome asked. what was this terrible reason you speak of?ali lost to a fighter who only had 7 fights?reallisticlyy can you see floyd losin to someone with 7 fights?
if you were an athlete and you thought you were the best and than someone who has never done what u do tells u that u are not would u be fine with that?
how is it that jim rome is such a big floyd fan if jim rome and floyd are always in some type of argument.
and the video that was posted doesn't even show the whole thing

          key words he used..:

Rome : "You say you are better than Ali"

Floyd : "I have to.. I have to"

Ali in his time was saying he was the greatest etc etc, and that was early in his career.. Floyd is entitled to his own opinion. Plus if he views himself as second or third best, that could undermine his confidence in the squared circle.

I might not agree that he is better than Ali or SRR but I don't fault him saying that either. He has the mentality of a true ATG champion. Nothing wrong with that. People don't need to get they panties in a bunch.

And he conducted himself well in this interview, despite any difference of opinion I may have had with his statements. He was calm, and focused.

And Floyd will beast it on the 1st.. mark it

which fighters were those? my point is that sometimes people make it seem like fighters that fought 15 rounds are better than the boxers of today because they fought 15 rounds but i don't believe that the boxers of today can't fight 15 rounds yea some may be exausted but so were the boxers that were fighting 15 rounds

I can not believe you just use that argument that Floyd use.

                I am disappointed...

by your own words, hes fought better comp than pac and went through with a Zero.

if it wasnt to late for pac to be judge of the last 2 to 3 years of fighting, then it damn sure isnt to late for floyd when pac fought shot and tailormade fighters

He can think whatever he wants. I like his confidence but make sense when you make an argument. Don't down play good fighters. Don't bring up losses that Ali had when he an old fighter and should of been retired already. Don't diss Ken Norton. When 95% of the fighters in your resume couldn't hold Norton jock strap...

But, again he can think whatever he wants. That is not my issue but when somebody is countering your argument with logic and common sense. Do you not get all sensitive, defensive, and insecure and try to start an argument...

But, be real with me. Will be you saying this if it was Pacquiao calling himself greater than Ali and SRR and then get all sensitive when somebody doesn't agree. Would you be like Pac can say whatever he wants or would you laugh at Pac. Because, I know I would be calling Pac bull****. Just like I was calling out the fans bull**** when I read that thread about Pac being greater than Ali...

A few Floyd fans are just as sensitive and defensive as Floyd. Not everything negative about the man is coming from hate.
Thats what they don't get though. I guess, they pick up traits from Floyd. The insecurity, is funking huge with Mayweather.
Jim Rome, is a Floyd Mayweather fan and talks nothing but great things about him. I was surprised Rome took the approach he did when Floyd said that knowing how much of a fan he is and how great he thinks Floyd is. But he was right. The only thing holding Floyd from that spot is, the quality of opposition. No true boxing fan would ever take away from what Floyd has in terms of talent and skills. But his resume, is quite ****ty in the last 5 years for the toolbox he carries.

He had his chance to be the goat, but he squandered it away with his money hunt. As the years go by and he gets tired of being in front of the cameras, or people get tired of hearing him talk about how great he is, hes going to realize what could have been, but isn't. He only has himself to blame.
