it's irrelevant to me. fighters like floyd who talk about it all the time piss me off... but that is the whole point of it in floyd's case...

      Andres,

In which instance do you think there will be more boxing televised and in the media:

      a) when MORE people watch
      b) When FEWER people watch
      c) I still don't understand basic business and media

*****s bring it up because Floyd brings it up, 50 Cent fans used to do the same with record sales because 50 said it

But too many people try to compare it with others, and its only for people to find an excuse to blame people for fights not happening (for example, a lot of Manny stans would hope it doesn't outsell Pacquiao vs Clottey so they can try and say that there man is the star and calls the shots, and the same with Floyd stans).

At the end of the day, regardless of the PPV numbers... which often as I said are brought up to say one guys a bigger star to say one guy can call the shots, Mayweather vs Pacquiao should be 50/50 anyway, cause the fight is in such demand because of both guys.

At the end of the day negotiations and meeting in the middle is the fairest way, it has just gotten way too far, we should pay a little attention to the numbers but in different context, if a fight sells well we should be happy for the sport doing well, not comparing it to other guys favorite fighters and making out that somehow there PPV doing better is a reflection on them and that your outdoing them.

With that said, reglardless of the PPV numbers for Floyd vs Mosley, which I hope do great for the sport, I am just looking forward to a good fight between two great fighters and I am glad we get the opportunity to see such a big fight.
dont point your fingers on the "fantards", the one that really runs his mouth about PPV sales and all and the one who started that is FLOYD. and hes declaring himself the greatest as if the PPV is the gauge of being the greatest boxer of all time. and you know whats new? he told pacman to step up his own PPV if he wants to come to the negotiating table, now what can we call that?? hes ducking pacquiao again.

Unfortunately, it is a MASSIVE aspect of whether Pac/Floyd gets made, and big fights in general, which sucks.

People should not care this much about PPV numbers that do not affect them.

They print up little tags with "1 Million", "2.4 M" "PPV RULES", and they pin them next to their Floyd picture on their hats.

If it does, it is Pac's fault. He could have agreed to the blood tests during the first negotiation. Mosley turned Mayweather's offer for a fight down twice. Then he spent three years bitching because Mayweather chose to fight other fighters instead of him after Mayweather became a PPV star and didn't need him anymore.

If Mayweather demands a bigger split of the purse because of his significantly better PPV numbers, Pac's team will ***** about that being unfair. However, like Mosley, they will have no one to blame but themselves if Pac ends up getting $30 million instead of $40 million because it will be due to their actions.
