  • Why are you guys so damn worried about ppv numbers?

Just want to know? Do you get money from it? Is Floyd a better fighter than Pac if he sells more? explain to me.....

It's the fanatics that care, they think it will give their fighter a bargaining chip if their man wins. Don't believe me? Just ask Floyd...

Bragging rights for their favorite fighter or suppose leverage for negotiations

I’m pretty sure Horus gets a percentage of Floyd's total earning on each fight.

The time and effort he spends trumpeting Floyd's as the cash-cow of boxing warrants at least 10% of Floyd's earnings.

          Just sayin'...

the Truth is that they REPEAT what they hear at the pressers....they REPEAT promoters and fighters and those who hold the mics and call the fights!!

the Reason they'll give is that "REAL" or "Hardcore" fans go deeper than casuals and the PPV numbers are part of the talk at the bottom of the ocean!!....PERSONALLY,....I can care less about those PPV numbers!!

Its sad pathetic **** thats just gone way too far now, I used to debate on it a little but but now I don't care, the only reason I want them to do good numbers is cause its good for the sport. But too many people try to compare it with others, and its only for people to find an excuse to blame people for fights not happening (for example, a lot of Manny stans would hope it doesn't outsell Pacquiao vs Clottey so they can try and say that there man is the star and calls the shots, and the same with Floyd stans).

At the end of the day, regardless of the PPV numbers... which often as I said are brought up to say one guys a bigger star to say one guy can call the shots, Mayweather vs Pacquiao should be 50/50 anyway, cause the fight is in such demand because of both guys.

At the end of the day negotiations and meeting in the middle is the fairest way, it has just gotten way too far, we should pay a little attention to the numbers but in different context, if a fight sells well we should be happy for the sport doing well, not comparing it to other guys favorite fighters and making out that somehow there PPV doing better is a reflection on them and that your outdoing them.

With that said, reglardless of the PPV numbers for Floyd vs Mosley, which I hope do great for the sport, I am just looking forward to a good fight between two great fighters and I am glad we get the opportunity to see such a big fight.

If Pac-Mos makes a lot of buys....that will add to 1 more hindrance to a Pac-May showdown.

                  id say 12.35%.

he puts in extra time to make the plagiarized material in red and bold font.

Or is it that you don't quite understand the economics of the sport?
