Cotto does hit hard.I think he can be great, he just needs to prove it more.

If Karen Belford is an idiot what would that say about boxingscene's own...DLT?

Hey DLT who gives a **** if a reporter agrees with you, does that solidify your legacy?

Remember I still owe you that beer son, I mean DLT.

well Cotto isnt known for using his legs like he did last fight.

True. He knows he can get wobbled (like in his last fight) and he felt Abdullaev's power so he covered up when he had to and then popped him on the run.

Abdullaev needs to learn how to brawl BETTER and not wait for the other guy to stop punching. If that's how he's gonna fight, he'll never make it past the top 5 contenders. If he had tried to exchange with Cotto, he could have been able to land his harder punches. Instead, he opted to allow Cotto to execute his combinations without much retaliation or countering.

Abdulaev probably didnt want to get caught, if he got aggresive he would probably get KO.He respected Cotto's power.

Unfortunately, that was his only chance.

Exactly! he would have been ****** to just stand and go toe to toe with Abdullaev, but instead he fought a good, smart fight! Hopefully he will continue to fight that way and evuentally win over even his worst critics! theres nothign wrong with the ole 'stick and move'...unless its Cotto doing it apparently!

Hopefully, theres room for Miguel Cotto and Ivan Calderon on the flag in my signature. I'am satified with Cottos performance, he uses his head. Abbie was only shielding himself, Cotto did all the work. Which he should of gotten practice in breaking threw tight defense by that. He isnt a huge power puncher, but he does know how to land his punches.
