floyd jr was at his most complex when he had his father in his corner---just watched his fight with jukko--he was damn near perfect in that fight---sr had his short coming with fighters like hatton and forbes and even de la hoya----mainly coz his fighters didn't listen to him the way his son did--and that style of fighting only works with complete fighters to a tee--anf floyd jr is the only complete fighter in boxing, period---he should have stayed with money may---

Sr. is a crack head with boxing knowledge. He is not a good trainer because he doesn't take his job seriously, he gets paid far to much for him to not be great. He doesn't train fighters that well, training is part of breaking bad habits, making a better fighter out of someone, he gets a fighter and uses the skills they already have not develop more of them.

mayweather sr has been bounced by pretty much all of his fighters, even his own son, at least richardson keeps his fighters.

He is self proclaimed. Boxing is his business but his whole family always say that ppl don't know boxing. It goes to show you that there are more talk than substance. Floyd is blessed with natural ability, it is not just training.

Hatton walked in face first to those punches, not Sr's fault his boxer didn't listen to him.

I agree with the second half of the last sentence... but I don't agree that Floyd Joy is that good of a trainer. ****m hasn't been around for as long as Manny Steward or Roach, so of course he ain't gonna get that trainer of the year award just yet.

If a trainer has issues with fighters listening to him, then the issue is with the trainer.

Sr. know nothing, Sr. was just great in talking nothing more. I didn't know anyone he trained that become a better fighter.
