[QUOTE=SuckaPunch;8214838]Floyd Sr had a live chat today from ESPN website...
http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/chat...-mayweather-sr
--------------
Lewis (Brooklyn, NY): What do you think of Nazeem Richardson as a trainer?
Floyd Mayweather Sr. (3:37 PM): (Laughing) That's like talking about Coach Roach. He don't know the first thing about training. From what I see, you can do the same thing. Shane could have got you Lewis and would get the same results. Training is one thing but training someone to fight is something totally different.[/QUOTE
He does have a point there.Comment

Him & his brother are the kings of double negatives.
By Floyds accord he doesn't know nothing, instead knows something.Comment

Hatton forgot to listen to Mayweather Sr. before and during the fight. Sr. gave him a game plan to execute and Hatton decided to do his own thing during the fight.Comment

LOL, what I find funny is the fact that Floyd has Roger "the word murderer" Mayweather, his uncle, training him instead of May Sr. Maybe Sr. could get himself somebody to train, then he would at least have the right to discuss the issue of training and critiquing other trainers. He looks like the joke to me...
Did you laugh when Oscar Delahoya said Mayweather sr was a better trainer than Roach?Comment

I am not denying Floyd Sr. abilities as a trainer, but it's easy to judge his conduct as a trainer.
When Hatton was knocked out by Pac, Floyd Sr. pretty much threw Hatton under the bus. It wasn't Floyd's fault Hatton got knocked out, but I hated the way Floyd distanced himself from Hatton. He showed no support for the fighter that hired him and didn't talk to Hatton for weeks. On top of that, reports indicated that Floyd was frequently late for training sessions.
It's also the trainer's job to look out and show concern for your fighter. Hatton was to blame for fighting like an idiot and I am sure Floyd Sr. was ashamed, but you still have to be there for your fighter win or lose. Floyd maybe a great trainer, but he lacks character and professionalism.Comment
