oscar fought bona fide true all time greats & hall of famers & put on great exciting fights win, lose, or by robbery.
Floyd fights overmatched names in disadvantageous weight classes & wins by excruciatingly boring matches.
& when i say names, i mean borderline good fighters classified as ATGs by *****s for the sole purposes of propping up floyd not so ATG resume.Comment

According to your analysis, Oscar vs Mayweather should have pulled in 7mil...they had a 24/7 and Oscar can do a 5mil with 24/7. SMHCheck seems to think that Mayweather is a bigger draw than Oscar "ever was".
What Check fails to see is that if Oscar De La Hoya had the benefit of a tailor made 4 week pre fight propaganda series on a major cable network at the time, he would've sold at least 5 million ppvs.
Mayweather was not selling jack **** before HBO put all their money behind him.
See the Judah fight for evidence.
Or the Baldomir fight.
Those are true Mayweather numbers. On his own, without the help of HBO.
Without HBO plastering his **** all over the place, he's a 400k to 500k seller.
And thats being generous.
Quit the bull**** *****'s. And think critically before you say ****** **** like that.
Mayweather needed a 24/7 to be "interesting" to the public. His fighting style never delivered and they needed something to gin up interest to compensate for his lack of excitement in the ring.
"Gee, I can't figure out how Mayweather does it"....

I gotta clue for you. It starts with H and ends in O.
Figure it out.Comment
