Mayweather right now is a bigger draw than Oscar ever was.

    I will have to disagree...

I can't stand the guy but nobody in recent time that was below HW was more of a PPV draw then Oscar was...

And, you also have to remember. Because, you want to compare Floyd-Shane to Tito-Oscar. Just think what does Floyd-Shane have that Tito-Oscar didn't?

Everytime I saw Oscar after the Chicanito fight. Was to see Oscar get his ass whooped. Hell I bought the World awaits to see Floyd whoop Oscar ass. It wasn't what expected but another story...

DLH may have the all time sales because his career popularity started far before Floyds due to his Olympic run but right now Floyd's popularity tops any peak that DLH had. Saturdays fight is comparable to Tito/DLH which did 1.4 million and everyone expect Floyd/Shane to go above that.
Floyd's fight with Shane will do about what Oscar's TWO fights with Shane did combined. Or more.

That's not what I am saying though. Obviously Oscar had a prolonged career but right now at this very moment, Floyd is more popular than Oscar ever was. People want to see him fight, win or lose, they still buy it. The guy is going to go 900k against hatton, 1 million against Marquez, 1.5 million or higher vs Shane, and probably rattle off a few more million buy ppvs and if he fights Pac a fight that could maybe do like 2.5 million. He is more popular than Oscar.

Also think so. Floyd only recently started to go more mainstream. He'll never be the good guy though. That's reserved already.

                I dig the 24-7.

But what did Oscar-Pacquiao do? What would Floyd-pacquiao do?

What did mayweather-Marquez do? What would Oscar-Marquez do?

It will do great numbers. And, Floyd is the PPV attraction right now. But, Oscar was a bigger PPV star...

Just look at what Oscar numbers did against Hopkins, Tito, Vargas, Mayorga, and Shane. Now add a 24/7 to that and I think you would see the PPV numbers would of increased by a lot... Especially for Tito, Vargas, Hopkins, and Mayorga

Its b/c promotions has changed. Imagine if oscar vs titio was on 24/7. PBF wins the tthe PPV draws via oscar.

I would hesitate to say this because the fight hasn't happened yet. Also De La Hoya fought more often at his peak of popularity and was on PPV more often so this naturally left him with fewer buyers.

In 04 he had two ppv's within 3 months of each other Sturm and then Hopkins.

In 03 he had two ppv's within 4 months of each other Mosely and Campas

Floyd has made it public that he doesn't want to fight that often (I think he said once a year) so each of his fights is in higher demand from his fans.
