Everyone ignores the way Spinks fought in that fight, as though he was just sitting there waiting for Taylor to KO him. Spinks was on his bicycle all night, and Taylor fought the wrong fight. Spinks' speed bothered him; he would come in, potshot Taylor, and run back across the ring before he got caught. And Taylor got to the point where he was just looking for that one punch, and it never came. It was like watching a guy try to swat a fly with a sledgehammer.

As far as prime Taylor vs. Martinez, it's a pick'em fight, but I'd give the slight edge to Taylor because of the style matchup and the fact that Martinez isn't a puncher and Taylor can match his handspeed and is the bigger puncher.
