Mike Tyson at age 19 with Cus in his corner is simply unbeatable. The ability to load offensive power while evading all danger is what Mike Tyson had (physically) mastered as is the essence of the art of boxing. With Cus as the brains of what combinations of punches to through and in what numbers, for any fighter, standing in Mike's corner; you have the greatest team ever in boxing history.

This is a load of crap... Tyson looked awesome when he was knocking out bums at 19yrs old.
But that doesn't make him unbeatable. If he'd have been in the ring with a quality boxer he'd have suffered a beat down. -
Yeah except for one thing I have to say in Tyson's defence. James Bonecrusher Smith,Tony Tucker,TNT Tubbs,James Quick Tillis, Jose Ribalta, Trevor Berbick, Pinklon Thomas are by no means bumbs.Originally posted by martinwbcThis is a load of crap... Well, the topic here is Tyson at 19 with Cus in his corner. He didn't fight these guys until later... At 19 he fought bums. He was awesome of course, but they were still bums.Originally posted by McKayYeah except for one thing I have to say in Tyson's defence. Further, Tyson was not unbeatable at 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 or whenever. He looked great and could beat the living daylight out of mediocre foes, but unbeatable? Please. Ali would destroy him, and so would a lot of other past greats.Comment

Cus died in 1985 dude. Rooney was his protege. The point is Tyson fought all those guys when he was still with the Cus crew (Rooney Clayton etc..)Originally posted by M26Well, the topic here is Tyson at 19 with Cus in his corner. Tyson was great in his prime 1988-1989, but he couldn't beat just anyone. Tyson was scared to death to fight an old George Foreman at his prime. He flat out refused to fight George, so that tells me Ali, Frazier, Marciano would have no problem disposing of Mike. Put Mike up against a blown up light heavyweight like Spinks though and watch out.Comment

The concept of Mike Tyson physically at age 19 to twenty whatever is remarkableand capable of any demands. With Cus in his corner disecting opponents weakness's I would say matching up this dua up vs. any in boxing history, including any champion, and Mike walks through him; because he can fight 12 rounds and no one stays standing that long in a "young" Tyson fight and wins rounds. Ali is always the Ultimate test vs anyone and could win at anytime he was "the greatest" for real and Marciano another very short Heavyweight would be the only other's I'd be really worried about Mike getting K'O'd by. Foreman was easily disectable as was Frazier and Norton. Previous eras had a different style all together e****ially bareknuckle and is hard to compare. Regardless Mike n Cus are the best one two punch I have ever seen in the Heavyweight division.Comment
