What is the fight, that made you love boxing.....

When i was 8, Espn just started Espn Classic... I don't know why but watching old fights were cool..... The fight that made me love boxing.... Ali vs Bonavena ....The beginning of the fight Ali couldn't box any better... The middle rounds were boring and the crowd mocked the two.... The late championships rounds were the best... These guy were ****ing on each other from bell to bell... By the 15 round they were both gassed and beaten... Im talking my first ring war... Out of no where in the 15th Ali dropped him with on of the stiffest lefts ever... From that point on i loved Ali and boxing....

Oh the other one is Tyson vs. Douglas... At an early age that fight showed me, if you want something bad enough.... Go get off your ass and go get it.....

Oscar vs. Tito got my attention but I didn't become a fan of the sport. I was on and off the sport but I gotta say, Bernard Hopkins. His performance against Tito made me a fan of him and from there on I became a fan of the sport. Boxing is actually my favorite sport, nothing comes close.

Mine was De La Hoya - Mayweather surprisingly. I worked with this guy and we became friends and he was a die hard boxing fan. He invited me over for the fight and it was the first live fight I saw and after I was hooked. I had seen old fights on ESPN but never could watch live fights because I never had HBO or anything. Now I have watched probably around 400-500 fights.

I was like 4 or 5 years old and my dad was talking bout Hagler and the beast Mugabi. Brutal 11 rounds of fighting. The only reason it caught my attention because I thought Hagler was going to fight a monster for real lol

I was a casual fan of the sport until Mayweather-Ndou, in which he became my favorite boxer and IMO the best (or future best). Still was somewhat a casual fan though.

Because of the lack of accessibility, my interest in boxing waned for a few years.

I can't say 1 fight did it though. A mix of De La Hoya, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Cotto, Erik Morales, Taylor-Wright, Margarito, Doug Fischer, and a few other things were involved in turning me into a hardcore fan.

Rocky Balboa vs Apollo Creed 1 ! 1975 i went to see this at the movies & joined a gym that week. I then went on to box for about 12 years. Ali vs Foreman was the first real fight i watched in the middle of the night with my Dad. Sold from then on.

Marquez-Diaz. I've always known a bit about boxing because my parents are big fans, but watching that fight got me hooked. It's the reason I'm such a huge Marquez fan.

If I got to see Mayweather vs. Ndou instead of Oscar vs. Tito, I wouldn't have been on and off the sport.
