Also what about the italian american dominance pre black dominance in boxing? I could argue it was because Italians all became police officers and opened pizzarias and that boxing was - at the time - simply a way of escaping poverty which is why we dont see them dominating today.

People overrated the Soviets impact on boxing. If you look at the history of them at the Olympics and amateurs they haven't done so well as people claim. 18 year old George Foreman beat down on the best available fighter for Russia.

I think the American reason has solid ground. No one is saying those NFL/NBA players would beat K bros. They are saying the reason the Brothers do so well, is because of the size advantage and athleticism they have. Just look at Chambers v Wlad or Vitali v Peter. the reason why u dont see a lot of young black or white americans in boxing is because they can make more money playing other sports then they can make in boxing. This year nfl number one pick will make at 10mi of of a signing bounes before playing one nfl game. Thats not inculding his contract which could be has high as 40 mil. How many boxers will ever see that much money in there life.
