european nations seem to have no problem pumping out stacks of world level middle and super middleweights despite being a football obsessed continent.

look what happened in tennis the same thing will happen in boxing the sport will slowly deteriorate in america and the media hype around the sport will die with it
I used to lurk tennis forums since it's another sport I follow, and some americans were saying Federer was only winning so many Grand Slams because this era is weak, and that the Sampras era was much better, shows that they don't take kindly to other countries displacing them.

Soviet fighters weren't allowed to turn pro until the 1990s because of the cold war.

Now Soviets are allowed to turn pro and they're ALREADY DOMINATING.

AND there are TONS of potential Eastern European Heavyweight Boxers are doing Combat Sambo, MMA, Kickboxing, Hockey, Olympic Wrestling, Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Worlds Strongest Man Competitions, etc.

America isn't the only country on the planet that has other sports you racist moron.

        Eastern European heavyweights are superior.
Steelhammer is correct. People forget that while Ali, Tyson etc and 'black' Americans dominated the soviet and cuban boxers were doign equally well in the olympics and non professional fields.

Also what about the italian american dominance pre black dominance in boxing? I could argue it was because Italians all became police officers and opened pizzarias and that boxing was - at the time - simply a way of escaping poverty which is why we dont see them dominating today.

There's no place for racism in boxing. We're better than this & it need to be stopped.

People overrated the Soviets impact on boxing. If you look at the history of them at the Olympics and amateurs they haven't done so well as people claim. 18 year old George Foreman beat down on the best available fighter for Russia.

However, Cuba. They would dominate boxing if it wasn't for the political environment of their country and America.

I think the American reason has solid ground. No one is saying those NFL/NBA players would beat K bros. They are saying the reason the Brothers do so well, is because of the size advantage and athleticism they have. Just look at Chambers v Wlad or Vitali v Peter. Both fighters had such a size disadvantage. If they were the same size, things might have been different

Yes they would. I am 150% sure that if Lebron James or Dwight Howard learned to box from when they were little kids, he would KO either Klitschko easily.

Just like if Dwyane Wade or Chris Paul learned to skate from when they were little, Alexander Ovechkin would be seen as a mediocre hockey player today compared to them.

Who? I don't see any. The best middle is Paul Williams. The two best super middles, BY FAR, are Ward and Dirrell.

if thats so true they should have won more gold medals.

the reason why u dont see a lot of young black or white americans in boxing is because they can make more money playing other sports then they can make in boxing. This year nfl number one pick will make at 10mi of of a signing bounes before playing one nfl game. Thats not inculding his contract which could be has high as 40 mil. How many boxers will ever see that much money in there life.
