Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice.

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared him into retirement. That's a FACT.
So did Lennox, you're a racist idiot...

Yes, just like Teddy Atlas says...if all the NFL stars such as Eddie Chambers, Kevin Johnson, Tony Thompson, Johnathon Banks, Travis Walker, Chazz Witherspoon, Seth Mitchell, Alonzo Butler and Eugene Hill were all boxing, the Klitschkos wouldn't be world champions right now!

        Darn that gridiron!

in conclusion in my thread... If Lebron James was bred to be a boxer, 6'8, 275 pounds of muscle probably faster then Floyd Mayweather with the stamina of a distance runner... can you imagine the damage he would do to one of the Klitschkos lmao

Or he could also get KO'd by Klitschko. Doesn't matter if Lebron would of started boxing at the age of three. Even if he did there is no way of knowing how good his chin is, or how tough he is, or how much heart he would have.

Just cuz somebody has great athleticism does not mean that they would of been elite boxers.... Not for once do I think that if Lebron would picked boxing as a career that he could beat a Klitschko. Because, nobody knows how he would react getting punched in the face...

That is like saying how many great European and South American soccer players would be great WWs and MWs because of the great athleticism, great stamina and, great footwork they have....

Its insane that people in here are dismissing the theory that the lack of American heavyweights is because of other major sports mainly football and basketball.

Lets think about it logically, are you guys trying to say the decrease in american heavyweights is in no way shape or form a result of the increase in popularity and mainstream media from football and basketball and the dramatic decrease in popularity in boxing.

The fact that if you are big and athletic at a young age basketball and football and baseball is being shoved down your throat in school while boxing is basically not even existent in the community these days has NOTHING to do with the decrease in american heavyweights.

We all saw how great mike tyson was, well guys that is the type of athlete that is playing football and basketball.

And just to clear things up this isnt just for america im sure australia would have many more hw if rugby wasnt so popular there.

So are you in the belief that the lack of great South American and European WWs, JMW, and MW's are due cuz Soccer is more of a mainstream sport in their region.

NFL and NBA combined equals what Soccer is in South America and Europe. Since the lack of American HW's is cuz of the NFL and NBA. Then the lack of great South American European WWs, JMW, and MW are cuz of futbol

it's 100 percent an excuses. that's all it is. i don't buy into that anymore than when people say a soviet fighter could've been hw champion if they were allowed to turn pro. why? because you just don't know. people need to stop talking out of their asses. you could just as easily say the greatest european and south american athletes are playing soccer/rugby/baseball. or that the great asians boxers are doing kung fu. there's always been other sports and always will be.

i live and grew up in the states and boxing has always been popular, so i dont know what the big deal is. America just isn't producing many contenders in the division. wait a while.
