Maybe the lack of HW dominance from Americans at this point has alot to do with eastern Europe not being a part of pro boxing at large until 20 years ago.
I'm American... The American HW "EXCUSE" is 100% TRUE

Consider this. Europeans are on bigger on average than many other countries, and it shows in the higher divisions most Europeans are in now days. People in Hispanic countries are on average smaller than people in European countries, but larger on average than people in Asian countries, and that can also be shown in the divisions most of these fighters fight in. And one can also tell people in general are growing larger by seeing increasing diversity in many divisions in boxing. Consider the impact that size has on boxing divisions; it’s not absurd at all to think that the weakness of the American HW scene has to do with the most talented large American athletes going into other sports, especially considering the decline of boxing as a major sport in America.Comment

it's 100 percent an excuses. that's all it is. i don't buy into that anymore than when people say a soviet fighter could've been hw champion if they were allowed to turn pro. why? because you just don't know. people need to stop talking out of their asses. you could just as easily say the greatest european and south american athletes are playing soccer/rugby/baseball. or that the great asians boxers are doing kung fu. there's always been other sports and always will be.

it's just as ludicrous as the excuses americans like to make these days.
look at khaosai galaxy. he was a muay thai fighter until he was 21 when he started boxing. he retires as the greatest super flyweight of all time with 20 defenses of his title and an 86 percent ko ratio. and according to ring magainze the 19th greatest puncher of all time between thomas hearns and alexis arguello.Comment

what the **** does that have to do with anything... it's not an excuse it's a real reason just like another post said about south america, how come they're not producing many lower class fighters? cause they're all playing soccer... if you guys dont think these other sports are a factor then your all idiots
its simple there isn't any fighters in the heavy weight division because the europeans are too good, accept itComment

Perhaps its the increase in junkfood and the fact that education is easier available for young black men now then it was 40-50 years ago.Comment

how many european hw's are in the p4p top ten?... how many Americans are in the p4p top 10? almost the whole damn list... I'm just stating why there's not real american hw's and it's the truth... IF YOU DIDNT GROW UP IN AMERICA THEN STFU U DON'T KNOWComment

a muay thai fighter who could've continued his career in muay thai. instead he boxed and became an atg.
you could just as easily say there's a 100 muay thai fighters right now who would be great boxers.
the point is it's all guesswork and zero facts.Comment
