People that all out reject the theory are outsiders that think Americans are just hating on Europeans.

All you have to do is look at Wilder, he picked up the gloves in 2005 and became a National GG, US Championship winner, and US Olympic Representative.

Wilder and Jason Estrada would have been nobodies if they came up in another era of the amateur ranks.

      Eddie Chambers
is smaller than 1940's Joe Louis! 209 lbs, 6'1 with zero KO power. He has no business being contender in any era, let alone one where super heavyweights(240+) exist.

Arreola has the same speed and body type as the 45 year old George Foreman. So basically he's the shell, of a shell, of another man. Sad thing is, old George probably had better stamina too.

Holyfield is from the previous era. And the fact that he is still here and just as talented as the current Americans half his age is a bad sign.

      ^^^Albert Haynesworth is 6'6 350 lbs

He runs a 4.8 40 which would give him the fastest feet in the division and he also has a 39 inch vertical leap. Imagine if just one of these uber athletes laced up the gloves at a young age instead of a helmet?

Here's what Pro Boxing could do though.. go after the kids who don't make it to the big leagues. Would make a decent farm system.. as you have built in athleticism to start and there's a reward of $$$ for the kid at the end of the tunnel for a successful run. This goes for White and Black Americans. The Heavyweights of tomorrow are in those sports.

      money....other sports.....go hand in hand.

bigger athletes have better options today.

idk why dudes on here are getting so upset. it's a THEORY.

Americans for the most part on not making that excuse, only a loud and spiteful minority of jealous and bitter blacks that wish there was another Muhammad ali to gloat about in their racist tirades.

It's simple - name me athletic, skilled and in shape american heavyweights? You can't. The best we got that fits that criteria is the bronze medalist. That's it.

Clearly there is a lack of talent.
Yes, because that talent is playing other sports. There are over 300 college football teams in America, think about all the lineman who are heavyweight sized amongst those 300 schools. Lets say offense and defensive lineman, thats about 10 lineman, not even talking about the backups or tight ends, multiply that by 300 and you cant tell me if those guys took up boxing at a young age we wouldnt be hearing about some of them right now.

There are a few hundred big men in pro football and basketball.

But there are some 10 to 12 million big young men in the USA, so that leaves nearly 10 to 12 million less a few hundred.
there are millions of young kids playing football, basketball and baseball. Very few are boxing.

Totally agree. Even the NFL's rejects have enough athletic ability to be top boxers. Isn't there a football player who is doing just this right now?

Wilder is just another Michael Grant.

Here's a video of the glass chinned Wilder getting KTFO by Russian Evgeny Romanov...The KO is at 1:50 of the video:

I don't know what the reason is, but I do know for sure that there is nowhere near as many American HW prospects or even amateurs anymore. The closest thing to a decent American prospect with skill and good conditioning that I've seen is probably Kevin fricken Johnson lol

we're not hyping him up, we're actually using him as proof to the theory that the talent is in other sports.

The simple fact Wilder is considered one of the most promising american HW prospects says it all.
