Then the whole Glen Johnson fiasco started, and then Dawson had to drop his WBC belt to fight Tarver. He fought Tarver twice instead of fighting Cloud.
First of all, he agreed to fight Diaconu and he was going to fight Diaconu and it was Diaconu who pulled out of that fight... And, then decided to fight Johnson who was ranked higher and more money than Diaconu..

Then decided to fight Tarver who was coming off a good win over Clinton Woods and was ranked higher than Diaconu and was more money and was the champ at the time. Beat Tarver and then Tarver exercised his rematch claws. Dawson had no choice but to fight him again. And, then he rematch Johnson. And, now is fighting Pascal.

So how is he a cherry picker?

Granted the sanctioning bodes have been unfair to Dawson.
That is not true, you making stuff up. Tarver exercised his rematch claws, Dawson had no choice but to fight him. IBF never gave him that option.

However, IBF did force him to fight Cloud instead of the Johnson rematch. And, Dawson chose Johnson who he went life and death with, and Johnson was also ranked higher than Cloud and was more proven than Cloud. Again I don't see where the Cherry picking is.

But didn't Tarver have a rematch clause? And again, HBO declined the Cloud fight.

And why would a cherry picking punk be fighting Jean Pascal, the #3 LHW? The winner of that fight will become The Ring champion. You can't get that by fighting nobodies. Say what you want about Tarver and Johnson, but they are top guys in that division. So is Pascal. He also wanted to fight Hopkins, but he didn't want it. Cloud will get his in due time. I'm pretty sure he has to worry about Glen Johnson first though. All of these guys are ranked higher than Cloud.

The WBC enforced Dawson to fight Diaconu after Diaconu recovered from his injury. But Dawson wanted no part of Diaconu, he made a promise with the WBC to fight Diaconu if he defeated Glen Johsnon, and you know what happened after that.

          All that is cherry picking.

I don't think he choose the second Tarver fight to play it safe. Tarver had a rematch clause so Dawson really didn't have much of choice. Plus i think we'll see Dawson against the younger light heavies such as Cloud ( if he beats Johnson) and Pascal in August. How is that cherry picking?

I think it's wrong to be considering this argument.

Chad has become the dominant LHW. He has beaten all the top competition in his division, and drove Adamek from it (be honest, Adamek didn't want a rematch, because Chad won pretty much every round of the fight up until the knock down).

Chad has beaten Tarver 2X and Johnson 2X. Both IMO were not close fights. Oh fans might want to make it seem that way, along with the losing parties, and of course the match makers. But he was in control of all 4 of those fights start to finish.

Adamek moved thru Cruiser with ease, but there's no name fighters at cruiser. And Arreola is the first name HW he's fought. Let's see if he can get a HW title first. Then we'll talk legacy.

He'll have to be better than he was tonight. I rewatched the fight and his foot work was never this bad at LHW. And he's slower. However, he actually may have more power at HW. He's got work to do.

I'm actually surprised he wanted to fight Pascal, given that Pascal is a threat. I thought Dawson was going to waste his time calling out Hopkins or Calzaghe.

Was Tarver not coming off a good win? Was he not ranked higher? Was he not the champ? How is this cherry picking?

How can you say that Dawson signed, agreed, was willing to fight Diaconu. But, it was Diaconu who pulled but yet Dawson didn't want no part of him? It makes no sense...

I think you were surprised. Because, you don't know what cherry picking actually is...

Not so fast. Glen Johnson has to beat Tavoris Cloud first if that fight takes place before the Dawson-Pascal fight which might happen. HBO is talking about having it on the undercard of Devon Alexander's next fight.
