This fight was boring as ****. KD is a bleeder with a weak chin. If casa had any power at all he would have been out in the first round. Casa is a dancing clown with no power.

between the 2 KD could at least improve his style and balance.

Casa is on his way out.

I thought Casamayor was doing real good in the 12th but KD was doing some good work also. Casamayor was on his way to winning a pretty good round until he got caught so I gave it a draw.

Diamond wasn't landing half the time he was chasing Casa around, so I don't see how doing that automatically gave him some of the rounds like the HBO guys seemed to imply. When Casa countered he hit hard, and he had Diamon wobbling on a number of occasions...again, HBO did their best to ignore these moments.

I've been one of the guys hyping Diamond up for weeks, so you know I'm being objective here.

That's the one thing I hate about the HBO crew. Once they make thier mind up about a fighter they ignore the other. Kid Diamond really needs to work on his balance because he was all over the place.

did it seem to you guys that hbo's commentary was favoring kid diamond? i honestly thought it was a draw, people are talking as if it was a blowout.... it cleary wasnt, i even believe casa out landed kid diamond by a few punches. just because he isnt the agressor doesnt mean he is losing the fight....

a rematch should take place, this was a nice fight.
winner should get a fight with freitas or coralles

btw if casa fought all the rounds and didnt take any off this fight wouldnt be close....its a shame he does that, he has too much talent to be in such close fights. imo he beat castillo but he needs to do more to impress the judges

KD out-powerpunched CM by about 17% if I remember correctly from COMPUSTAT numbers

Seriously, they were completely ignoring Casa's good bodyshots and jabs in the early parts of the fight rds 4-5 and were just jockeying on Diamonds aggressiveness. I thought Casa won the 1st with the knockdown, 3rd, 6th, 10th, 11th, and the 12th just barely. Diamond landed harder shots in the middle rounds and hit Casa with a few good combo's here and there (the 4 punch combo in the 8th).

This fight was hardly robbery, I can see how some might give KD a 7-5 advantage, but I think 116-111 or whatever you guys are saying is ludicrous.

Even so that doesn't necessarily translate into him winning the fight. You could out-powerpunch a guy 100 to nothing in one round and still lose all the other ones.

I realize that you were just responding to The Fix's comment. I just wanted to make that point, though, in case other poster read too much into the numbers.

what about total punches, not power punches?
