He played the heel and it made people interested in seeing him lose, especially to Oscar who was/is a crossover star. I don't think Floyd is a crossover star, in fact I'd bet the house if he weren't fighting Shane and maybe someone of a lesser stature, he wouldn't do big numbers again. I think Naz was correct, how long with the Mayweather continue to be interesting to the general public?
Yea i agree with that.....Floyds mouth is a real turn off to me because he talks so much game but never follows it up.....I mean when he fought Oscar there was so much hype yet during the middle rounds nothing happened

If a guy is going to waste every minute of the 24/7 trashing his opponent, he better demolish him and knock him out or beat him up good.....None of that DLH **** where he won a pretty boring SD

Appreciated and that ODLH fight was a glorified sparring match.

Again, I guarantee he wouldn't do anything close to those numbers if you replaced Shane with Saul or even Matthew Hatton as was previously discussed prior to Shane.
haha floyd doesn't fight lesser competition. like pacquiao who took on clottey in a fight NOOONE wanted to see hence the weak ppv numbers for the p4p king and fighter of the decade LMAO!! Floyd did more numbers with Marquez in 1 fight then Pacquiao did with Marquez in 2 fights!! So where was that big Mexican fan base when Marquez and Pacquiao fought huh? or how bout that big Filipino base for Pacquiao. Hell with those two bases together it should of been well over a million don't ya think???

No he won't. Pac said with his own mouth on worldwide TV said he wanted no part of a 3rd Marquez fight after a fight most think he loss. He made excuses before negotiations started with Floyd and wanted no part of Mosley. Pac only fights conquered fighters.

Sorry didnt know this was the SpellingBeeScene.com

All im saying is Floyd keeps telling us that Oscar had his biggest payday with him, while neglecting the fact that he earn his biggest payday with Oscar. Plus the fact that Oscar made more then him in that fight. Im not sure but in most fights the biggest draw doesnt get paid less, but i guess Floyd is an exception

Well said my dude. I could respect a hater if he told the truth but its hard to respect one that doesnt give credit where it's due.

just take out dela hoya's name on that list and you'll be fine...and pac too because it's still too early to talk about that.

exactly they try to give de la hoya all the credit for the big numbers even tho floyd was p4p #1 and undefeated they act like that had nothing to do with it. And they say Pac is the bigger draw and him and de la hoya did half of what mayweather did. And now they wanna give the Marquez credit for the ppv numbers because of the mexican fan base? even tho that fan base was nowhere to be found in his other fights lol

Well isnt Marquez a Conquered fighter? Plus what does that fight have to prove anyway? In the first fight he wouldve won if not for a judges scoring error, and the second fight he won....i dont care how close you think the fight was, a win is a win.

And your telling me you actually wanna see Pac vs JMM 3?
