That's BS and you know it is. Manny made excuses before the negotiations even started. Not only that he ducked Marquez 3 and a Mosley fight also. Its really funny how people just accuse fighters of "ducking" other fighters...your saying he pretty muched ducked Mosley and JMM to fight Cotto...But if he fought Marquez, you would say he ducked Mosley and Cotto. and if he fought Mosley, you would say he ducked JMM and Cotto.

You see the logic? you can only fight 1 guy at a time, so haters like you will keep saying Pac ducked someone no matter who he fights. If he fought Mayweather on May 1st you would say he ducked 5 others guys.

I think his point was without PBF Oscar couldnt do those numbers. People try to act like it was all Oscar but PBF was a vital part of those numbers as we can clearly see now.

Cotto's previous fights he comes in at 146. He stated himself 1 lb is nothing. Cotto came to fight.
This was Pacs first test- a real test at that, at WW or close to it. What other fights were a catchweight where Pac had the clear advantage?
Last I checked Pac filled a stadium with how many people....

Oscar was consistently doing big numbers for 10 years, yes his biggest PPV numbers were with Mayweather, but how much of that was attributed to HBO 24/7, that was the most exposure Floyd had ever gotten and where he displayed his alter ego Dr.Evil. He played the heel and it made people interested in seeing him lose, especially to Oscar who was/is a crossover star. I don't think Floyd is a crossover star, in fact I'd bet the house if he weren't fighting Shane and maybe someone of a lesser stature, he wouldn't do big numbers again. I think Naz was correct, how long with the Mayweather continue to be interesting to the general public?

maybe that would work if it wasn't for the fact that everyone that has fought floyd made their biggest payday. judah, marquez, de la hoya, mosley will, pacquiao will, and so on and so on

Hahaha fluffers, now let's have a big boy discussion. I led you to that answer, how much of those numbers with Marquez, do you attribute to the Mexican fan base and also to Floyd getting a residual bump based on his comeback, which would be normal.

Again, I guarantee he wouldn't do anything close to those numbers if you replaced Shane with Saul or even Matthew Hatton as was previously discussed prior to Shane.
