amir is right. why should he rush things up? he should learn a lesson from ciso morales of the philippines? ciso morales was supposed to be good, with good knockouts in his credentials. he's too young for a fighter like montiel but his greedy handlers rushed things up for him, and fed him to montiel. the result was devastating, a 1 round knockout.

if you remember james shuler in the late 80's. hewas undefeated, has good credentials. he was too young then to fight for a veteran. his handlers rushed things up for him and fed him to thomas hearns, the result was horrible. hearns bombed shuler out.

khan is right in his plan. good fights with good purse will come in after he disposed of the cotton-fisted girlie paulie malignaggi.

Sergio martinez also is 35 years old and doesn't have the time to build his name slowley, bad example.

Bradley, too, was seen as a viable first option for Khan by many boxing fans; Amir, however, is using his May 15th appearance at Madison Square Garden as a reconnaissance mission, a chance to test these new waters against a name foe.

He's contradicting himself on Bradley.Of course Bradlley would knock him out

My point with Martinez is that he sounds excited to take on challenges. Amir just makes financial reference to it. We all know that if Amir takes the bigger challenges he will get compesated more. He is making it to obvious

khan makes some good points and to be fair its not as if hes fighting a bum.In many ways malignaggi is better than maidana,i know MM is a puncher but that will be reversed if khan was to beat him as the haters would say he was just a 'one-dimensional brawler'

Hes a young kid who wants to make a big name for himself along with good money.thats what all the young american fighters want too,i see nothing wrong with it-people need to realize boxing is just as much of a business as it is a sport

Whats wrong with wanting to maximize your earnings before taking the big risks? I'm the last person who likes to talk money and boxing but you can't blame Amir for wanting to extend his career it's just natural. It's not like bradley, Maidana, and alexander are going anywhere so if he wants to really make a name for himself he's gonna have to fight them eventually and if he doesn't then he will never get that recognition and money he so desires by fighting lesser opponents.

I just think that you like everyother boxing fan just lacks patience and is to quick to call him a coward. He will fight all these guys eventually because if Money is all he cares about like you said then he's gonna have to eventually take a risk to get to it.

Never called him a coward, you are jumping the gun here. He has a lot of hype and what is wrong with him backing it up. I will be at the Gardern to see him and not a hater like someone indicated. Just cause I don't agree with what he said doesn't mean that I'm not interested in his boxing ability. You don't know the fate of the boxers you just mentioned (remember Valero for example), I'm a believer that when fight can be made should be done, future in boxing is never a sure thing. In this sport anything can happen
