Thanks for the reads and comments guys. Last time I interviewed Khan I was named and shamed for not asking the big questions, IE Bradley/Maidana, I ask, he gives a full and honest answer, yet gets slammed by a few. Crazy.

Sure, he talks about money but not in a particularly garish way. Simply points out that these fights will be worth more down the line and that there is a time and place for them, certainly not his first US soil appearance.

Khan makes valid points about Maidana, take out the Ortiz choke job, and Ortiz did choke, and he looks a very beatable fighter. People also forget the Kotelnik thing when comparing Khan and Maidana. Styles/fights etc but if Kotelnik can out-box Maidana, though in a quite staid fashion, then Khan can also.

Boxing is a business, we don't like to view it that way as fans but that is the nitty-gritty of it. HBO will want Khan, Bradley or Maidana as a nice round robin. Best result for them is a controversial outcome in the Bradley-Maidana fight, then Khan, should he beat Paulie, takes on the loser of that one, as a yardstick, with the winner waiting in the wings for a big, daft HBO extravaganza.

Love or loathe Khan, and whether or not you think he is a hype job, he is a fighter and responded well to the Prescott defeat.

Whoever brought up Shuler made a great call. One of my favourite single round KOs and a proper dismantling by Hearns. Shuler died shortly after so never got the chance to rebuild.

You don't know the fate of the boxers you just mentioned (remember Valero for example), I'm a believer that when fight can be made should be done, future in boxing is never a sure thing. In this sport anything can happen

I hate to break it to you but this sport is not only the livelyhood of the boxer but the livelyhood of the promoter and if you think that they are gonna risk potential earnings in favor of satisfying a couple hardcore boxing fans then you are sorely mistaken. The faster you realize this the less frustrated your gonna be. You may be a believer that fights should always be made immidietly but ask yourself this question when does that ever happen in boxing?

Never because promoters arn't gonna foolishly throw away money just to satisfy a few people calling Amir a Chicken and this goes for any fighter who earns money for their promoter. They are gonna milk it for all it's worth and once that money starts running out then they take the risk.

Khan is trying to take the route ala Mayweather style of getting his most dangerous opponents to fight it out amongst themselves first. Any dumpkopf knows that boxing is a business and that he is carefully being unwrapped from the cotton wool after the Prescott attempted murder on his life, he can't fool the real and is not there for legacy...I am a true British Fan and between him, Audley Harrison for jive and Carl Froch for pure patheticness the scene ain't going to break back onto mainstream British T.V. in fact they are the whole reason why BBC and ITV are now shunning the whole thing.

When did I say I was frustrated? You think I don't know this? But Khan is the one that said of profit potential of fights in the article. Big risk open the way for big rewards. Ever heard so much of a fighter of how great he is and you wait around for him to take a real challenge to see what he is all about. That is what I'm waiting for. Ease up a bit I'm not the enemy here

Bradley and Marcos are overrated? Maybe Marcos. I really despise Kahn. Here is a guy who has not proven ****, yet he runs his mouth like he is the man. I can not wait for the day to see the guy get KTFO.

Great interview . I also enjoyed part 1. I just dont understand some people. Amir just explained why a fight against Paulie makes more sense for his US debut then a fight against Maidana/Bradley. But people neglect that part and still keep on hating Amir. He clearly said that he intends to fight the winner of Bradley/Maidana. What else can you ask for?
