What about Henry Armstrong? Why would he be the ultimate P4P king (of all times) when he had 21 losses and in those 21 losses, he got KOed twice. I don't understand also.

Translation: Being boxer of the decade is not about not having losses! But the kind of quality and exciting fight you have where a boxer risks against all odds and still emerge a champion! Does Floyd have that kind of attitude?
2000: Floyd was a champ and defended against a former titlist in Vargas; Pac went 3-0, stopping an undefeated future title challenger in Hussein. Edge = PBF

2001: Corrales was a great win, rated higher in the division and P4P by Ring at the time, and Hernandez and Chavez were both legit contenders, ending a memorable 130 reign which rates with some of the best ever at the weight; Pac had Ledwaba, who was in the hunt as far as being the best Jr. Feather at the time; Sanchez went to a technical draw Sanchez basically fouled his way to. Great year for both but Floyd had three good wins to Manny's one. Edge = PBF

2002: Pac beats a faded former titlist in Julio; Mayweather gets the benefit of the doubt against Castillo (I had him losing by a point) but mans up and takes the rematch, winning with a late pull away in another good fight spending the year as Lightweight champ. Edge = PBF

2003: Floyd fights Sosa in a typical, ho-hum type fight after two hard ones; follows with N'Dou, a Jr. Lightweight who was rated tenth at 130 by Ring at the time in another ho-hum outing; Manny routs a future HOFer in Barrera for the Feather crown. Edge = Pac

2004: Pac draws with a future HOFer in Marquez, Floyd fights once against Corley and has a fun win. the fact PAC dropped JMM 3 times in the 1st rd and got a draw is a detraction for me. I understand the point about him being a future HOFer, but I can’t give him the edge in 04 for essentially losing a fight to JMM. Edge = Floyd

2005: Floyd fights three guys in Bruseles, Gatti, and Mitchell; Manny moves to 130, loses a close one to a Morales coming off a great year where he beat Chavez, hernandez, and Barrera. gatti was another title in another division. (Also coupled with the fact hatton defeated tzyu and was unwilling to fight Floyd at the time and cotto wasn’t ready as well.) pacquiao losing to Morales just doesn’t trump Floyd wining against gatti and receiving another belt in another division. Edge = Floyd

2006: Floyd fights Judah off a loss to Baldo and then Baldo for the Welter crown; Pac fights Morales off a loss to Raheem, Larios off a cut loss to Vasquez, and then Morales again. in my eyes beating the former undisputed champ of WW and the lineal champ of WW trumps beating a larios after defeat and an washed up Morales after defeat to raheem. I just don’t see how anyone can give that edge to Pac…that’s crazy to me! Edge = Floyd

2007: Pac wastes time with a fringe Feather contender in Solis and an unneccesary Barrera rematch; Floyd takes on Oscar for a belt at 54 and then knocks out the Jr. Welter champ in hatton. Edge = Floyd

2008: Floyd is off; Pac beats Marquez for the 130 crown in another great, close fight and probably gets too much love for beating Diaz at 135 and an Oscar whose just done. edge Pac.

2009: Floyd comes back and beats a Marquez, Pac beats Hatton and then cotto and becomes a lineal champ I 4 divisons and supposedly his 7th title in 7 weight classes. edge Pac

You have a ridiculous notion of yearly fights.

Fact: 2003-2008 Manny has 8 COUNT EM! 8 HOF fights.

Fact: Floyd has only had 2 HOF fights his whole career. Quit whinning.

Floyd is in his own world... Dont know why he's still caught up on Manny when he has a serious threat in Mosley coming up.. I hope he's not bieng seroious and overlooking Mosley cause i think it might be a big mistake.. could you imagine Floyd trying to trade shots?

Honestly...I'm not even mad at this article. Pac won FOTD by a landslide by almost every boxing analyst and knowledgeable person in the sport. But of course, there will be a select few who disagree...there always is.

My thing though is the reasons he brings up are really ignorant and shows he pure jealousy.

                  He got knocked out twice:
moot point because both happened in the 90's

He struggled with Marquez twice: he didn't lose so whats the point in that. Actually if it wasn't for a mix up in score cards and a KD not counted he would have won both fights....but a win and a draw is nothing to be ashamed of against a talented fighter like Marquez

He got out boxed by Morales:
Well Morales is one of the greatest fighters and Champions of this era. I've been follow Morales since forever (he is one of my favorite fighters of all time) and he wasn't shot or done even in Pac vs Morales II (only idiots would say that). Again there is no shame in losing to an ATG fighter (and a guy I consider the greatest Mexican boxer of all-time). The thing is that Pac came back and beat him twice...marginalizing he lost to him. This is why people don't hold it against him much

Bottom line, he will struggle and lose when you dare to be great and go out and face the best (which Floyd clearly has not). Manny deserved it and Floyd had his opportunity to get it but he has himself to blame. So no hate here from me....Like I said b4 you can fool some people sometimes, but you can't fool everyone all the time. The boxing world knows whats up and they chose accordingly, which is why Manny won by a landslide

manny pacquiao has been behind Floyd since 07 and didn't even make it on the list until 03. and this is our fighter of the decade....didn't the decade start in 2000???? So yeah I'm wondering how they voted him fighter of the decade!!!
