I think that is exactly what it is...and i can respect that. But I dont respect him fighting similar styles of fighters and especially guys like clottey. His denial of the drug test has really turned me off from him.

i'm starting to question him and all the things he's done. Before i borderline liked him and was starting to buy his fights, but now not no more.

test that is only required by mayweather's camp.

something he doesn't have to agree to.

people got to accept, manny is greater than floyd no matter how you twist facts and rewrite history.

He didnt deny drug test he wanted a cut off date, i mean it is called negotiating, and Floyd didnt want to negotiate. So instead he starting spreading rumors to discredit his wins because his resume is better then FLoyds

You can go far if you talk a good game like Floyd but at the end of the day actions speak louder than words. Although Floyd talks like a fighter of the decade, Pac walks like a fighter of the decade.

Didn't want to negotiate? He changed the cut off date from the day before to 14 days before? Pacquiao wouldn't move from 24 and walked away, he then took a blood test 19 days before the Clottey fight.

Last i heard that the mediator ruled in Pacs favor but Floyd wanted nothing of it and left.....I dont know the facts about the 19 days but if thats true, he took it because it was mandatory and required.

Personally i think the testing is there so Floyd could get leverage over Pac but Pac wont let him get any leverage and wanted to go on his terms since he is the champ

The mediator didn't rule in anyone's favor. Their job is to find a median point. Not say whose right or who is wrong. You can't objectively tell someone that they are wrong, because it would imply bias towards one side for having a different opinion. You can only try to meet in the middle and both sides failed to do so.

However if anything the mediator ended up pissed at the end because neither party were supposed to disclose details from the mediation, and not only did Bob Arum break that clause, but he began spouting off lies to go along with them.

The blood they took from Pacquiao 19 days out was for AIDS and other diseases like that. Except that Freddie Roach says when blood is drawn from Pacquiao he loses 3 days of training, but the very next day there were reports of Pacquiao knocking out sparring partners.

I blame both sides for the fight not happening.

Former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. again took a swipe at international boxing star Manny Pacquiao, questioning the Filipino’s stature among boxing greats.

In a conference call about his upcoming fight against “Sugar” Shane Mosley, the controversial boxer downplayed Pacquiao’s sensational victories over Puerto Rico’s Miguel Cotto and Britain’s Ricky Hatton.

“He beat a Miguel Cotto who got pummeled with a cast and he beat a Ricky Hatton that got stretched by me… That’s not for me to put him in the Hall of Fame,” Mayweather said in a report posted on boxing.fighthype.com.

The Filipino stopped Cotto in 12 rounds last November to win the World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title, his 7th in 7 weight classes.

Prior to facing Cotto, Pacquiao knocked out Hatton in just 2 rounds. It took Mayweather 10 rounds to stop the bull strong Briton.

The Boxing Writers Association of America thus picked the Filipino over Mayweather, Bernard Hopkins, Joe Calzaghe, Shane Mosley, Juan Manuel Marquez and Marco Antonio Barrera as the Fighter of the Decade.

Analysts also compared Pacquiao to the late boxing great Henry Armstrong, who simultaneously held world titles in 3 three different divisions.

The undefeated Mayweather also said that unlike him, the Filipino has suffered losses in his professional career, aside from struggling against counter punching expert Juan Manuel Marquez.

“Manny Pacquiao struggled twice, which we really know he got beat, struggled twice with Marquez, which we know he really lost. Right? And we know he been knocked out twice and he got outboxed by Erik Morales, but then they still give him Boxer of the Decade. So that’s another thing I don’t understand,” said Mayweather.

Pacquiao, considered as one of the most exciting boxers today, took over Mayweather’s pound-for-pound status when the latter went on temporary retirement in 2007.

The 2 boxers were supposed to settle the issue of who is the best pound-for-pound fighter through a match last March. However, negotiations for the bout collapsed over a drug test dispute.

As a result, Pacquiao instead fought Joshua Clottey, whom he defeated by unanimous decision last March 13.

Mayweather, for his part, secured a fight against Mosley on May 1.
