thats such a ****** matchup. Most ufc fighters suck but Couture is at least a decent wrestler. He'll just submit fat old Toney.

Toney is to old to prevent any take downs.

if thisd fight happens its just to make ****** ufc fans think ufc is better than boxing. Horrible matchup for Toney.

Well, Couture is a seasoned MMA legend, and James Toney is one of the greatest boxers to ever lace up the gloves... If James Toney can keep his distance from Randy and box with him for the first part of the fight, he will catch him, I would expect Randy to try and clinch him up and hold him against the fence and throw punches and elbows, dirty box, but I think he would be dumb to do this, as James Toney will dirty box him right to the mat... He will not try to get James Toney against the fence and clinch like other guys because he's going to get hit on his way in or clocked when he's trying to dirty box... So I think that this one will probably either be a James Toney KO win, or a Randy Couture decision win, because Randy is not that great of a submission artist, nor is he that big of a threat anymore with his ground and pound, James Toney will learn and drill enough ground work and submission escapes to last off of his back without being finished by a guy like Couture, but the downfall there is that Randy can still probably take him down every time as long as he doesnt get clocked on his way in, and score enough points from takedowns and ground strikes to get the decision win over Toney... But I only see it being stopped if James Toney is victorious, and im not biased either, Im a huge fan of both of these guys, and I know that Randy Couture will not be able to handle James Toney standing up up on his feet!

Yeah what he said. I do give James props for taking on a fighter of Couture's caliber in his 1st fight. Same goes for Mayorga. Din Thomas is well rounded and no punk!

yea because couture has really been using his wrestling lately.

have you seen his last couple of fights? its not like hes walked away unscathed, he really has put alot of faith into his striking ability and i wouldnt be suprised to see him go toe to toe.

toney against couture he has every chance in the world to land a big one.

Randy is a master of gameplans. He would be ignorant to stand with Toney. Of course, every fight starts standing. Randy will dirty box his way into a double leg takedown. From there,it will be all she wrote. I will be rooting for Toney. He could have easily found an opponent who would only stand with him and wasnt good at leg strikes. I think Dana White wants to make an example of Toney. He wants Toney to lose quickly and badly.

Couture is a vet, I don't see him trying to stand for too long against Toney.

I see that cornball trying to take him to the ground ASAP and lay on him and just tire him out. At some point, he'll feel comfortable enough to stand against a tired JT.

JT has a good punchers' chance. Wrestlers have to telegraph their takedowns so much it's not even funny. Even a shot Toney stands a great chance, a capable counter puncher should be able to counter one of these jokers.
