That's exactly why most hardcore boxing fans kind of look down on MMA. They see a bunch of thugs off the street do 6 months of training then want to be called athletes. Boxers have to go through years of paying dues before they can even go pro. Even then they still haven't made it to the big time. Until there is some mandatory skill level MMA will be laughed at by the boxing community.

Wow they really did go hard on MMA if those quotes are legit. I have to admit, that Strikefoce card was terrible. Ground based fighting takes a lot of skill but it's not very entertaining to watch. I consider myself a fan of boxing and MMA but over the last few months I have been watching MMA less and less. I think there is a good chance MMA will be seen as a fad in 50 years or so but only time will tell.

Please tell me what MMA fighter have gone 6 months of training and actually went pro?A lot of these fighters have backgrounds in karate, judo, sambo, wrestling even before they get into MMA.I think most people consider of MMA as a type of martial art or discipline which obviously completely false.

There are just as many if not more "thugs" coming off the street that box, than "thugs" that come off the street and do MMA. There are no world class fighters in MMA that have been training for 6 months.

It's not much different for MMA. There is a mandatory skill level. It's called the big leagues. The ****ty fighters will be rooted out in the smaller promotions and the quality fighters will move on to the big stages and fight other quality fighters.

But they have to actually show it in the ring dummy!! It's not like they can get a way with it in the ring against other Black belts so why exactly do you care? Plus I know you did a great job showing kids getting black belts in Aerobic style karate but I want you to show me and actual UFC fighter who attained a black belt in just a few months. name one!!

I have always said that if you don't like MMA fine but why bash other people for liking it? Don't be mad at m,e because I get double the entertainment from both Boxing and MMA while all you got to watch is boxing.

Seriously why are you guys so "thretened" by MMA?
You have no one to blame for the resentment boxing fans have toward MMGay except Dana White, his marketing machine, and your fellow MMGay fans.

Those 3 components were pushing a "boxing is dead" agenda to rise their popularity and become the premier combat sport. They perpetuated that false rumor at the expense of boxing. Imagine the resentment people get everyday toward Mayweather and Pacquiao because of *****s and *******s, same **** with UFShe and MMGay groupies.

Since UFShe got crushed by Mayweather-Marquez, Dana White now wants coexist and move into the WWE or his own lane.

              **** MMGay and especially UFShe.

That HW champion was also an NCAA Div 1 All American. Regardless of what he decided to do with his career before moving to MMA.

                      Laying on guys?

Your interpretation of wrestling is a sad one.
