The primary Martial arts used in MMA are Mu Thai which is full fledged sport in Asia and not just a Martial Art, Brazilian Ju Jitsu which is all submission based, and kick boxing which is a sanctioned sport all around the world just like Boxing itself. Like boxing these 3 martial arts all have professional tournaments which actually crown winners so what you are misinfromed about is that somehow a person gets a black belt and thats it. But the reality of it is they have the exact same type of tournaments that boxing has only it's done on an international level and not on a regional level like golden gloves.Comment

I don't think they are threatened by it. They have no reason to be. I mean after all boxing still outsells MMA a majority of the time. I don't know what boxing fans are threatened by.
I think it really comes down to the average boxing fans' level of intelligence. I get it. Two guys punching each other is a lot more primitive and easier for a simple mind to comprehend.Comment

Sci-Fi talk? LOL I'm sorry if my intelligence is giving you a headache, after all it's not very often you actually come across it on this site.Comment

I would say 95% of the people claiming black belts haven't really earned black belts. Or got them from questionable masters. I saw a demonstration while I was in the army by some Korean Officers of some real Martial Arts. It's called Hapkkido the real vesion of the BS that Segal thinks he knows. You will be dead in before you can blink if you mess with one of these dude.b MMA is a buch of rednecks rolling around on the ground.Comment

What you are completely misinformed about is that most of these martial arts are not used in MMA. There are very few straight up Karate fighters in MMA and the only one with major belt is Lioto Machida who has a black belt in Shotokan but also has a Black belt in Brazilian Ju Jitsu.
