MMA is alright sometimes when the guys stand and box. That's why Liddell was so popular. But this wrestling **** is not going to get them anywhere. There's a reason why pro wrestling is fake.

Yeah nobody is gonna find bashing some poor fellas face in while hes on the ground entertaining. Theses type of TKO's are common for wrestlers and the MMA audience appriciates them just as much as any KO in boxing.

These are d level MMA fighters but even their ground and pound is exciting.

That ain't the issue. Atleast in my case, I expect more from a sport that isn't as restricted as Boxing. I expect alot more. Nothing against UFC fans.

I thought the whole point of combat fighting is to hit and not get hit.Isn't that why people are in love w/floyd b/c of his boxing ability to hit and not be able to get hit?

Big difference. Since when does Mayweather wait 30-40 seconds to throw a punch? Mayweather's defense is also alot different then people think, Mayweather's defense enables him to go on the offense, Floyd can mix the two.

The same can be said about many MMA fighters.Their defense isnt about blocking or moving away from a punch.A lot of fighters have turned submitted people from their backs while getting punched in the face.I don't know about you but that's pretty exciting.Im curious to see how many people who "hate" on mixed martial arts have actually tried other disciplines of combat sports besides boxing.

You guys consentrate so much on the ground game but never seem to realize that some of the worst, most violent, and exciting ass whoopings happen on the ground. While at the same time it can also be a technical chess match which just like in a boxing match can make fans restless.

I have always said that if you don't like MMA fine but why bash other people for liking it? Don't be mad at m,e because I get double the entertainment from both Boxing and MMA while all you got to watch is boxing.

I actually appreciate the ground game. I have a friend who is going into MMA and he boxes on the side and we talk about it all the time.

Its almost a logical fallacy that the casual, mainstream MMA fan would get bored if they see the fighters struggling with each other on the ground, yet they do appreciate when they are standing up, trading punches. Yet at the same time say "Boxing is dying".

I'm referring to wrestling for position on the ground btw, which is when it seems the action stalls for a lot of people. Ground and Pound is okay, because lots of guys do get TKoed by ground and pound, so its admissible by the mainstream MMA fan

I don't think they are threatened by it. They have no reason to be. I mean after all boxing still outsells MMA a majority of the time. I don't know what boxing fans are threatened by.

I think it really comes down to the average boxing fans' level of intelligence. I get it. Two guys punching each other is a lot more primitive and easier for a simple mind to comprehend.

6 and 7 year old kids can get black belts man. You have to earn golden gloves, or a title in boxing.
