I've always liked Shannon Briggs b/c he's charismatic and when he's in shape his fights are usually entertaining. That said, I don't even think he's ranked by any of the major sanctioning bodies and he's done virtually nothing to merit a title shot. Briggs needs to get a couple solid wins under his belt before he goes chasing a title shot...

What is this guy blabbering about that the Klitschkos backed out from him? If Sultan Ibragimov didn't school you you could have had a unification fight with Wlad, but Sultan did school you and was the one to fight Wlad instead

Obviously Haye remains a frightened cruiserweight who won't want any piece of your Arreola's Solis's Tua's Peter's...and will only get in a ring with the K's for 50%...i.e he'll price himself out and claim the usual BS!

Briggs would probably KO him. 50% chance I reckon.
He has "runned" in ONE fight. Name me a fight where Haye runs other than the Valuev fight?

Haye will run again in the upcoming Valuev rematch. So that will make it two fights.

Erm...did you see the Ruiz fight? Haye throws a few bombs and then has to be chased about the ring. This repeats until Ruiz is worn out by chasing him and gets rabbit punched to the floor.

I couldn't disagree more with your implication that Haye is nothing more than a runner. Say he's easy to hit or something but to imply that he's nothing more than a runner is pure ignorance. He is one of the biggest KO artists pound for pound and re: the Valuev fight...it would be ridiculous for a 6'2 blown up cruiserweight to brawl inside against a monster like Valuev, especially considering Haye's speed.

This would actually be a very interesting fight. I don't really see what Haye would get out of it though. It's a high risk low reward fight for him. I know a lot of people are fed up with Briggs, but you have to admit the guy has a personality and is always one punch away from winning a fight.

But yeah, I don't see what's in this for Haye. Briggs is a very good seller of a fight, so perhaps money could be made though.

I only comment on what I see. And in Haye I see a guy who isn't man enough to stand toe to toe with another HW unless he's a journeyman like Bonin. I don't care what he did at Cruiserweight. That is a joke division compared to HW, that's why they all move up: Adamek, Thomson, Gomez, Haye.. etc etc. Haye just needs to find another guy who hits and runs for the dullest HW fight in history.
