I respectfully disagree, Martinez footwork is the best in boxing right now? You do really know how footwork works in boxing?

If Martinez keeps winning, a Floyd vs Martinez fight could be pretty big if promoted right. Floyd may as well face Martinez after a Pac fight, because he'd no credit for Bradley.

Like you pointed out Martinez get outbalanced a lot due to the way he comes in and out, The man started boxing at 20 years old and am been told he has the best footwork in boxing right now over guys who has been doing this since the were 8 years old.

I'm fully aware of how footwork works in boxing. I'll just have to agree to disagree.

what does starting at 20 have to do with anything? His great footwork comes from him being a great athlete in his previous sports. Also don't you think a lot of his balance issues had to do with him facing tall opponents?

not when he was dropped against williams that was due to him being off balance because of his feet. there was also a moment late in the pavlik fight he almost went down because pavlik nicked him while off balance.

So you know how footwork works in boxing? The fact that he got drop in his last two fights due to getting himself off balance should tell you he doesnt have good footwork, Because a guy can move doesnt = good footwork, If you told me he has good footspeed i would probably agree with you but he has the best footwork in boxing? Hell NO

well you gonna be off balance when your facing taller opponents. Also when you move constantly vs standing in a stationary position like Floyd does with that shoulder roll your gonna be more prone to getting caught off balance. Don't believe, rewatch Hatton vs May when Floyd was moving around and hatton staggered him.

I mean to use Williams and Pavlik is a reach don't you think. The height and arm length that Martinez gave up, combined with him moving around constantly and coming in and out (he really didn't have a choice) is a big reason as to why he was off balance at times. Put any guy like Floyd or Shane in their and they will get caught off balance as well.
