i scored it 7-5 for shane, winning.. watch the fight again it is on youtube, the first half you are seeing cotto winning with shane picking up the second half, but if u add up rounds, or as i did i had shane winning more rounds.

i dont know how the fighters of today train harder, sure they have different technology yes, does not mean it is better or athleticism and coordination are better genetically.
secondly, fighters 20 and especially back to 60 or more years ago were more active and fighting consistently all of the time, against the highest of opposition.
therefore it is my belief, not fact, but opinion----so dont freak out----but i feel being more active against higher caliber opponents results in better fighters. fighting once or twice a year does not keep you as sharp if you are fighting 4 times or more, with proper rest and rehabilitation of course...
that is why the fighters of the past in many of a peoples eyes, are far superior.
do u think the mlb players are better today because they train harder than 40 years ago?
even though 40 years ago they were swinging heavier bats, balls that werent wound as tight and ballparks were bigger? actually some players hit just as far as today and the pitchers threw just as hard with old technology and training methods....just an analogy.
ok tweezy, be gentle with me............. oh dont forget to post how old u are, thanks.

In every sport the guys are bigger, stronger, and faster then before. In my opinion. I just don't feel the guys back then could keep up physically to the guys now. They we're fast for their time. But their is no way to test their speed with today's speed. So whatever side your on it's pure speculation to be honest. So when Mayweather says he's better than them he very well could be. If it wasn't for the hate people have towards Mayweather they'd be more open to him being the best. Mayweather has the skills, ability, and work ethic to compete in ANY era.
