    Is Martinez Still Overrated?

Those few of us, who have seen the potential of Martinez in previous fights knew what Martinez is capable of. Sometimes, you watch a fighter and you know he has what it takes to make it to the top. It's the little things a fighter does as well as the big things.

The only fighter I see beating Martinez at 154 and 160 is Paul Williams. He's just that good.

Yes. I firmly believe many here on this site, are overrating Sergio Martinez.

Simply because of who he's fought.

I still would have loved to see him fight Dzinziruk at 154.

He's clearly not overrated at this point though... Him or Williams will run the game at 160, whoever ends up as the winner.

Sergio Martinez just beatdown Kelly Pavlik and beat Williams in many eyes on short notice. He is not overated he's one of the top fighters in the sport hands down. No way you can argue this,.

I personally felt as though Paul had lost that fight, I do NOT see him winning a rematch at 160 or 154.

Noticed martinez was visibly fatigued before the first half of the fight was even over with williams, yet sustained his pace tonight with pavlik. (and yes, i realize williams sets a much crazier pace)

it's evidence that the short camp and first time venture to 160 effected him. A full camp with time to prepare not only for your opponent but for the weight as well, and he beats williams handily imo.

I don't know how anyone can say he's overrated because he outboxed Williams, Cintron, and Pavlik. He would also beat Margarito and possibly Cotto at 154. Sergio is finally getting the respect and recognition he deserves for being a good fighter.
