exactly... and for the record we have been telling folks for awhile pavlik is overrated and as soon as this fight was made i predicted this was going to happen.. this has nothing to do with race or color, its about breaking down the fight

    • The blueprint is laid on how to beat Pavlik but I like Williams over Martinez in the rematch even though Williams will probably make it harder than it should be.

      • Great exciting "free" fight! I knew Sergio would pull it off. Lets see Martinez vs PWill II.

I gotta admit I thought Pavlik's power would be too much for him but Martinez showed his heart and came through, I'm happy he got this win.
Finally! I thought he did enough to beat or at worse draw vs PWill.... I'm ready for the rematch!

I agree. No real interest in seeing a rematch, as it seems boxers with movement create a real problem for Pavlik. He was mentally done by the end of the 3rd, his trainer had to keep telling him "I don't want to hear that [from you]". I would, however, be very interested in a Martinez/Williams rematch now, even more than before. Although, my feeling is that it would be almost a mirror image of the first fight... leaving it in the hands of the judges will always be dangerous for Martinez, and I'm not sure he has the power to KO Williams. It would be an epic fight. These are the type of fights that are so enjoyable, which is why fights like Berto/Quintana are not so fan friendly.

One win over Pavlik and we may be looking at an ATG?

Everyone that wins a fight these days becomes an ATG all of a sudden.

He's proven himself in his last 3 fights. Not to mention when he put PWill on his ass for the first time. He only lost to the judges poor scoring.

Sergio has done nothing but FIGHT the best. Dudes a beast. ATG? Thats getting a little out of hand at this point, but the dude should get respect and a REMATCH with PWill.

                    • I was there live. Pretty nice card I would have to say. I got free tickets and even though they were the last seat in the stadium, it was a good night. I scored the fight 116-111 for Sergio. I'm surprised I had it on par because it was hard to see everything clean from where I sat.

There was no one there though, I felt bad. Like there was like 3 whole big sections that were empty. Boxing in Atlantic City is pretty dead right now, and it just got worse that another adopted son lost. Hopefully since Sergio wowed a lot of people that if they have a rematch there more would show.

Mike Jones looked good, even though it was a horrible stoppage. Hopefully this kid can get a real fight and on showtime or Hbo. Or **** even ESPN.

Dominic Guinn almost got beat by a fighter who was completely outta shape and had a record of 8-9

Matt Korobov looked like garbage. And I really like him. He just almost got out gunned by his opponent who was obviously there just for that reason.
                      He just looked really sloppy.

Glen Tapia impressed, Ronalds Hearns had a nice first round knockout but didn't mean anything, he would still get wrecked by Angulo or any top 154.

The fight beteween Jeremy Bryan and Vincent Arroyo was a good fight. Bryan was obviously the favorite even though Arroyo didn't boast a horrible record himself. And Bryan was pretty much cruising to a win until under 2 mins to go in the fight he got clocked with a bevy of good shots and was put down for the count.
