i think pavliks KO power is overrated...

he doesnt have explosiveness in his punches and seems to be lacking that pop...his KO's mostly come from an accumulation of punches...he doesnt have that kind of 1 punch power that can change the course of a fight in the blink of an eye

im a fan of both, but i expect martinez to UD or possibly even stop pavlik late. martinez WILL get hit, but he will be able to take kellys power. only way he gets KO'd is if he gets hit ALOT in this fight and thats simply not going to happen since martinez is slick and moves around alot...he will only get hit a few times which wont be that big of a deal to him.

    martinez wins this easily IMO

Watch a few fights... Then maybe we can have an argument. You obviously haven't seen much boxing.

Pavlik does not have 1-punch KO power. He is however very heavy handed and every punch he throws has momentum.

Agreed. Pavlik has one punch power.

everything is always so black and white with people. Pavlik doesn't have the BEST 1 punch power but he still does and yes most of his KO's are by accumulation but that doesn't mean he doesn't punch hard. He does I just don't think he has p4p punch power. He's just a very hard puncher, simply not in the top 3 or top 5 punchers.

The main reason he usually does not knock guys silly with one punch is due to his slow delivery and they always see it coming. If you look at his track record though, he has knocked out a lot of guys who had never been stopped before.

Yup. Once he lands that big right, it's usually all downhill for his opponent.
