Paul Williams beat Margarito long before Shane did. The bottom line is that Shane said "no one will fight me" but he flat out turned down the challenge of Paul Williams. This fight with Mayweather came under extreme circumstances. Mosley could not have foreseen it and Pacquiao was definitely not trying to fight him. He avoided Paul Williams when Williams, fresh off a win versus Winky Wright, was the only fighter willing to face him. Simple.

That's fine but there was no one else for Shane to fight. Hello?? He went the whole year looking for a fight! PW was right there calling him out constantly. Forget belts, that doesn't matter (see Mosley-Mayweather). And fighting PW was worth more than...fighting nobody.

We do agree the main point tho is a young Mosley I believe would have fought Pwill no problem as it shows in the guys he has fought on his resume.were as alot of top WW would ducked and have ducked him.

I agree. Mosley isn't the type to duck and dodge. But Paul Williams made everyone run for the hills.

mosley will be frustrated by floyd's jab and running in the early rounds. mosley's gonna have to step on floyd's tail and hit him with a body shot.

there won't be a big speed difference at all. the difference will be that floyd will set up his punches better and those who don't know any better will say floyd has better speed.

mosley's gonna have to use the right tactics to offset floyd's tactics, but being reactionary against floyd will only get him so far.

I think it will be the other way around.Mosley have 2" reach advantage over Mayweather.It will hard for Mayweather to find his range since he will always be within Mosley's optimum range.Knowing Mayweather he will or may change tactics in between rounds to fight on the inside from time to time to frustrate Mosley.You and I agree that Mayweather have that capacity to change and adapt on instant.

i think if shane tries once to do his flicking lazy triple jab Floyd just checks him with the hook instantly. And when Shane figures the hook out, hes gonna get tagged with the right. When shane does that hes stationary and doesnt move his head.
