HBO was more willing to pay for Lopez-Caballero because of this fan base you talk about lopez having than they are Gamboa-Caballero. That's the difference numb nuts. Hell, Lopez is such a joke at this point that HBO is taking into consideration that he doesn't want to get in the ring with a real fighter so they are sending his ass to Showtime because of it regardless of how many tickets he sells at the gates.

No, not at all. If this fight doesn't happen it isn't gonna be Gamboa or Cab's fault and I'll tell you why. I read a story on Steve Kim and Montoya's web site and Lou Dibella said that if the numbers don't make sense they wouldn't be willing to take the fight either. BScene isn't the only site on the web you know? I'll have to admit that Caballero's fan base isn't great since we know that Berto was the name on the show and HBO lost money on it. That is the only thing that gives these hardcore Juan Ma Lopez apologists (which you're not one, and I respect that) an excuse for the fight not to happen. Only leg they've got to stand on.

If HBO's numbers don't make sense for fight, Gamboa's promoters will be forced to look for another opponent

And what Juanma Fan dont want the fight to happend? Caballero said he wasnt fighting for the money, so they offer him his biggest Payday and his still turn it down. Then if he wasnt fighting for the money, why he didnt fought poon for all the marbles at 122? Why he turn down his mandatory Challenger for the IBF title. Was he scared?Comment

Since, when Calling out is the way to go? Any idiot can call out everybody, because they dont have anything to lose. Example being Made Paul Williams and Caballero himself. They dont have anything to lose. What happend, when Williams had some leverage for a fight? He turn diva and ask for more money than he deserves.

But why say that it's all Caballero's fault that the fight didn't happen? That's only seeing it one way. We know Lopez has tried everything he can to get out of figting Caballero or else we wouldn't be getting these Gamboa-Caballero stories on BScene. And how is it not a low ball offer to demand a million dollars and then offer the other guy $150,000?
