Comments Thread For: Robert Stieglitz Takes a Verbal Shot at Arthur Abraham

Some bad blood might be brewing in Germany. WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz (37-2, 23KOs) is tired of the local press pushing Arthur Abraham (31-1, 25KOs) as one of the best fighters in the country. Abraham is involved in Showtime's Super Six Boxing Classic. He faces WBC champion Carl Froch in the third stage of the tournament in August. [Click Here To Read More]

Stieglitz better shut his mouth! When the tournament is over or Arthur is out of it they should fight each other, Abraham beats him no matter if he wins the tournament or not!

Carl Froch is going to beat Abraham. I can see why guys like Stieglitz would call him out.

And if Carl Froch beats him the bubble will be burst as nobody gives Carl too much credit. Carl is long, big and physically very strong. He is the biggest guy Abe will ever have fought and for a guy who soaks it all up on arms and gloves it could be very heavy going for the Abraham.

Froch isn't exactly hard to hit himself, and I'd probably say Abraham is the harder hitter of the two. He certainly has a larger arsenal anyway.

It'll be a good fight either way but I really can't see any way that Froch can win to be honest.

Robert Stieglitz should have a rematch against Andrade so he can get his ass kicked for a second time against Andrade.

Stieglitz is bit of a step backwards for Abraham.

Surprising to hear the criticism comes from inside the country this time. Maybe Stieglitz is trying to hype a fight with AA for the future.

I don't think AA is a hype job, but I have always thought he was overated and very one dimensional, as it was exposed by Dirrell.

Andrade exposed Stieglitz. Abraham by brutal KO if he takes this step-backwards fight against Stieglitz.

I'm not big on Abraham. But concievably Froch is long enough to keep it an outside fight and strong enough to negate Abraham when he gets in close. And it's the pace that Abraham fights at, Froch won't be taken out of his comfort zone unless he's knocked out. Also Abraham is the one guy who really doesn't possess a style advantage over Froch in the entire tournament. I dunno, just a feeling.

Maybe it will have become a step forward if AA manages to get dumped out of the tournament early (third stage) or in the fouth stage. If AA gets dominated again like he was by Dirrell, Stieglitz would be a good fight for him.

You have to wonder what these dudes will do when the tournament is over, who they will fight, because they will have fought everybody in the SMW division (minus Bute), so I could definitely see such a match happen if Stieglitz is still champion.

                    I agree.

But if AA makes some needed adjustments in his style and opens up more early and throws more, Froch will get KO'ed.
