Does Beating Shane Mosley Make Floyd Mayweather The Ring Champion At 147?

I mean mosley is considered the welterweight champ right? He beat the man who beat the man. I remember Pacquiao beat barrera the first time with no official title at stake, but did become ring champ. Floyd has said he will not pay sanctioning fees to the WBA so a win would still make him the L champ at 147. That would be his 7th title in 5 weights. Pretty damn good.

Yeah it should be. It would make a Pac fight even more meaningful title wise as well.

Since Pac is the #1 WW according to The Ring, no it doesn't. The Ring WW title will remain vacant until Pac grows a pair of balls and submits to random drug testing.

On a side note, The Ring announced that Chad Dawson, Ring #1 LHW, vs. Pascal, Ring #3 LHW, will be for The Ring LHW title because Dawson has already beaten The Ring #2 LHW, Johnson, twice.

Hopefully Dawson stops Pascal. He should stop Pascal.

no it makes floyd the #1 contender but not the ring champ. the ring champ will only be determined if he fights pac. all roads lead to pac.

Are you serious? Floyd isn't going to pay the sanctioning fees for the WBA belt?

I don't know about stopping him.

He took some hard shots from Froch and Dicainu.

He has a pretty good chin.

I do see Dawson winning a clear UD.

                  Side note:
I would bet 100K on Dawson beating Pascal. So if anyone feels game PM me.

Yes it does/should imo he was the lineal champ when he retired and he is coming back to take on the n1 WW right now. Mosley was N1 and Cotto N2 when pac fought Cotto, its close tho seeing as Pac has a win over another top 10 WW in recent times.
