by the way sutekh. i seen in another thread of yours you kept calling cotto and Judah libras for some reason. and Joe Louis a gemini. To my knowledge Joe Louis is actually a taurus (another great taurus/earth sign fighter like sugary ray leonard and robinson)

and zab judah and miguel cotto are actually both scorpios, october 27 and 29 respectively their bdays.

so that makes sense cus we were saying how water signs seem to be the weakest mentally...well zab is the same as tyson. huge power but once he starts getting hit he quits mentally.

and speaking of which, another huge virgo power hitter is Kostya Tszyu

Yeah.. I did that thread impusively and didn't do all exact dates for the fighters .. I didnt really care about the exact details in RE to the thread in typical SAG fashion. I went to check back later because I researched the details afterwards but the thread was dead anyway. Makes sense Zab has scorpio eyes and the round bald head.

Right on point about the water signs.

    Hasim rahman.scorpio i believe

yes hasim is, and he got ktfo by pisces maskaev.

that's rare for a pisces to be a tank with power like that. usually pisces, being a mutable and physically frail/weak sign is very slippery and usually make defensive type slickster fighters.

      for example

      Corrie Spinks - pisces
      floyd mayweather - pisces
      andre ward - pisces
      sultan ibragimov - pisces

but for some reason there's a "tank class" of pisces as well:

      arthur abraham
      joshua clottey
      mikkel kessler
      oleg maskaev
      chris arreola

          Nice thread.

I follow astrology a little myself and I often use astrology to figure out certain things related to boxing.

I've always felt that earth signs dominate boxing and just about all sports.

You guys already listed the great Caps like Ali, Jones, Hopkins. The great Tauruses like Ray Rob, Ray Leonard and Joe Lous. The great Virgos like Morales, Toney, Lennox.

          Look at basketball:

          D Wade - capricorn
          Kobe - virgo (taurus moon)
          LeBron- capricorn

The best football player in the nation, imo, is Peyton Manning. He's a fire sign, but he has a capricorn moon that gives him focus and discipline.

          Back to boxing...

I know water signs took a beating in this thread for being mentally weak, but they add something to boxing as well.

Floyd Mayweather, Josh Clottey, Sergio Martinez, Winky Wright (pisces moon) and Arthur Abraham are all PISCES.

I noticed that all of those guys are defensive fighters first. They all like hiding behind a defensive guard and then striking when the opponent is unsuspecting.

Scorpios are unfortunately the weakest sign mentally.

Miguel Cotto, Zab, Angel Manfredy, Antonio Tarver, Rahman.

The interesting thing about the Scorp is that they all seem to have so much talent, but just never put it together.

thanks for the input. that was very interesting and true. although strangely for some reason aquarius seems to be the greatest athlete of every sport.

            what i mean is

Babe Ruth bday: February 6, 1895 - Aquarius
            Michael Jordan: February 17, 1963 - Aquarius
            Wayne Gretzky: January 26, 1961 - Aquarius

aquarius's make some decent boxers from time to time too..though not that often.

nigell benn comes to mind as does oscar de la hoya and salvador sanchez and prince naseem hamed.

currently we have amir khan felix sturm, devon alexander, daniel jacobs off the top of my head.

funny how the 3 greatest of their respective sports are all aquarius.

but yes. earth is physical, earth rules physicality and the material plane. this is why earth signs dominate phyiscal sports and sports with endurance.

also keep in mind earth signs are by far the most patient and thus train the longest and hardest. just look at capricorns like bernard hopkins and ali who are gym **** and always in impeccable shape.

i thought amir khan was a energetic sag?

i find it very difficult to categorize the aquarius. it seems like they're not a lot of great aqua athletes, but when they're good they're the best (add randy moss to the list).

Another thing about Scorpio boxers, they all seem to THRIVE in the underdog role. When they're expected to win, they don't always come through, but as underdogs watch out.

                Examples:

Carlos Quintana over Paul Williams (first fight). Quintana is a Scorpio. He was expected to lose big time to Paul Williams and he won. In the rematch, while he wasn't favored, the odds were much closer. Quintana was ko'd in 1.

Zab Judah (scorp) over Cory Spinks (rematch). Zab took the Spinks rematch for a "measly" 120k payday and had to travel to St. Louis. Zab clowned Spinks and knocked him out silly. When he was the clear favorite against Baldomir, he CHOKED and lost.

Hasim Rahman (scorp) over Lennox. Do I really need to explain this scenario?

Antonio Tarver over Roy Jones (rematch). Tarver (scorpio) was a huge underdog in the rematch with Roy. "Any excuses tonite, roy?". Who could forget that.

Nonito Donaire is also a Scorpio. He kept the Scorpio upset tradition alive when he knocked out the highly favored Darchinnayan (spelling).

very interesting. scorpios are frustrating boxers i guess. never seem to live up to their potential. I think Holmes was one great scorpio though.
