    what i mean is

Babe Ruth bday: February 6, 1895 - Aquarius
    Michael Jordan: February 17, 1963 - Aquarius
    Wayne Gretzky: January 26, 1961 - Aquarius

aquarius's make some decent boxers from time to time too..though not that often.

nigell benn comes to mind as does oscar de la hoya and salvador sanchez and prince naseem hamed.

currently we have amir khan felix sturm, devon alexander, daniel jacobs off the top of my head.

funny how the 3 greatest of their respective sports are all aquarius.

but yes. earth is physical, earth rules physicality and the material plane. this is why earth signs dominate phyiscal sports and sports with endurance.

also keep in mind earth signs are by far the most patient and thus train the longest and hardest. just look at capricorns like bernard hopkins and ali who are gym **** and always in impeccable shape.
Thats what it comes down to is praticality patience and regimen all of which earth signs are fantastic.

(even though james toney has three personal planets in virgo and mars in leo and somehow is lazy as hell)

Fire signs have the energy but not the patience so they need someone to focus it.

Aquarius is in detriment in sun so those fighters most likely have another planet that overrides it .

aquarius is a universal sign that rules social type things and interconnecting/networking friends etc...super social sign. this makes sense for why they are able to dominate TEAM sports like basketball hockey etc but suck at boxing. Boxing you're alone, man against man and aquarius as you said is in detriment in the sun so when they're alone they're weak. They thrive on fulfilling team based goals where they can shine in their teamwork expertise.
That's why gemini is a air sign too but a "personal" air sign and thrives much more in boxing: Duran, Hagler, Barrera, etc many top geminis in boxing

BUT his mars has very powerful aspects and a huge t-square ontop of it which gives it immense focus power and strength. so like i said depending on the aspects your mars has, it can be in ANY sign and still have beastly stamina
Hahah this made remember something that i read, it said that

Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have Mars in Cancer.

not surprised: I just checked toney's chart. he has neptune singleton. i.e. neptune the watery planet ruler of pisces (arguably the laziest sign in the zodiac). and it's singleton IN water in the FIXED sign of scorpio. secondly his mars has no aspects whatsoever. that means it's weak and there's nothing pushing it to the limit at all. he also has saturn singleton in aries so that must have given him alot of structure to his regimen because it's trine his sun but the mars just wasn't keeping up its payload with the saturn because it's not really aspecting anything and the neptune keeps him lazy and daydreaming constantly...that makes sense.

          • Barrera is capricorn.

What things do water signs normally excel at? It's obvious that the earth signs have sports on lock.

thanks i just looked up roger federer's chart to confirm: you are right mars in cancer that is interesting. and like other great athletes I was talking about he too has mars with very powerful aspects to the most important planes. mars square jupiter, square saturn and square pluto. this gives him immense stamina, energy, and intensity. in fact mars is the most afflicted planet of his chart (has the most negative aspects) so that's the energetic focus of his whole chart so it's no surprise that he turned out to be a great athlete even with a supposedly detrimental cancer mars.

              • So experts, what astrology is the real one

The Vedic or the Western?, because in the vedic the mars in piscis of Briggs is something like aquarius.

True that.. Not only that but it's ruled by mercury so it needs constant motion.. Training is probrably and fighting is most likely a game for these geminis..even though most I know have the attention span of a knat. They can go jekyl and hyde too dont forget...those gems can be two people in one lol.

yeah sun signs are dominant in fire (naturally because the sun is hot) Leo is home in the sun as its the opposite of aquarius.

I love this science though man.. You can get into a persons intricate nature and know them without really knowing them ( Scorpio detective parts of me lol)
