    ODH never said WHICH title.
for all we know, he could be setting alvarez up for the NABO junior title or some sht like that.
it'd be nice to remove zaveck's name off the top the IBF, but then we'd get another amir khan situation where a supposed "champion" is not ready to fight the elite.... even though he's supposed to.

When GBP mentions Canelo ready for a title shot, they mean Jan Zaveck IBF belt. I don’t see anything wrong with collecting a paper title, from a title holder. This will only cement Canelos popularity, and class as a young world champion.

see my comment above. if alvarez is lined up for that title shot and wins, who would he defend it against? IMO, you dont put a fighter who still needs experience, seasoning and development in a situation where he has to defend a title. you'd just get another khan or berto situation.

I like how only Mexican fighters fight Cab Drivers but nevermind that every prospect form the US, and Europe alike all fight cab drivers at this stage of their careers.

Is this kid Zaveck any good? The first I'd even heard of him was during the Berto fight, guess I don't follow the sport as much as i used to.

Let him fight atleast another 3-4 fights against solid 147 competition then talk about a title shot he's like 19-20 years old
He can face Dejan Zavec ya know.

oscar says "i think"..i think whoever wins should be in line for a title,,if canelo wins fine, but he has 3 fights lined up this year, and gbp said they would be against top ten fighters...unless they make it an interim title fight,i don't think he'll be facing any of the top champs soon, but if he does i hope it's berto, that would be the logical one,mayweather/mosley is too soon for him, that fight would make sense next year

I don't think either fighter will ever get around to fighting Saul Alvarez. Floyd, Shane, and pac are all at the end of their careers and I think they have to many other big fights that will keep them busy for the rest of their careers.

I think he's more of the future of the welterweight division once Floyd, Shane, and PacMan are gone.
