Negative. I think people are misinterpreting what's going on here. The first time he answered the question he answered as if he

1 - Knew he was taking something
2 - didn't know WHAT he was taking

but he KNEW he was taking something. I believe the first two times he answered this was his response (indirectly) but he was pressured pretty hard here. They only want yes or no answers. And because he KNEW he was taking something, despite what it is, the only answer can be YES.


They aren't going to ask him " did you take unknown substance the day before the fight ", no, they are going to ask him a direct question regarding EPO, and he'd be lying to say no - even if he didn't know WHAT he was taking, he knew he was taking something.. so he can only answer yes.

poor question by whoever asked it. Shouldn't have used the pronoun "that" as it's not crystal clear to which antecedent "that day" is referring. "that day" could be referring to the day in dec 2003 or it could be referring to july 26, 2003. Not crystal clear.

Dude shouldn't have used just a pronoun there, should have been more specific, like: "on july 26, 2003, you knew then on the day that you took it that you were taking epo?"

He denied knowingly taking steroids. (THG) Which he was accused of using.

EPO is not a steroid, it is however still a PED.
