Ha Ha Ha that was a good laugh. Cotto would knock you out with one body punch. You could train hard as u want and he could eat doughnuts for two years and he would still knock you out.Originally posted by Slipxi love the way he goes down in opposition after the corely scare

Abdullaev is a credible opponent and it had a story to feed to the public and generate interest as Abdulleav is the last man to beat Cotto. I think it is a pretty good matchup, especially since Cotto is still in the early stages of his career and all of the other top 140 fighters aside from Vivian who I though Cotto would be fighting as the other top guys are fighting each other are busy at the moment. Cotto should take a step up after this fight provided he wins.
I have no complaints in which Cotto is being brought up.Comment

I like Abdullaev. I thought he'd be a bigger hit as a pro than he's been.
But, the reason his professional success will not ever match his amateur success is the same reason he won't beat Cotto tomorrow night....
Look at his age. He was a man beating up boys back in the amateurs. He has talent, ability....no doubt. But he beat guys like Cotto in 2000 because he was so much physically stronger, probably at his peak of strength.
Different story now. He is PAST his peak, while Cotto is getting stronger & better.
Of course, there's also/ALWAYS the Cotto size factor, which has definitely worked to his advantage.
This fight will be smoke & mirrors win for Cotto. There will be a phoney air of "revenge" in his win....& will provide HBO, Arum, & his his Puerto Rican fan base with ammunition.
He will be beating a guy whose best days, as a fighter, were when he was wearing a tank-top & headgear.Comment
