roger said floyd thinks too highly about keeping the "0" for that to happen.

i guess now roger must of misspoke.

You can reply posts on my comments but don't ever change
anything I posted. Your pathetic, mad at people who don't
dislike a person because you do.

Can you not see a difference in his demeanor thru the promotions. He is overly exciteable , wierd acting , not cool.

Shane is Cool man. Shane Knows, Jr. Knows and its eating Jr. up. Many of you know and your not saying but hanging on by the skin of your teeth.

Jr. makes statements like the thing with the O because he Knows deep in his heart he will lose this fight. Shane is the one of two men he cannot con with his trash mouth.

You have two weeks and a few days to enjoy or sweat it out.
I have to completely agree. I never beleived, and still don't believe, that Floyd actually wanted this fight. He's overly cautious these days, in the ring and out. Of course, that's my opinion, but I'm sticking by it, nonetheless.

It would have made more sense for him to take on the winner of the Mosley/Berto fight as it would give him two titles. And don't get me started on his "belts collect dust" rant. He would have probably jumped all over the chance to collect two belts from the Berto/Shane winner to go against Pac's one belt. Even then, I have to wonder if he would have taken the challenge.

So no, this was not the plan in my opinion. He got pushed into a corner where he would have most definitely looked like a punk for not taking the Mosley fight so soon.

Say what you will, though...seems Floydie has grown a pair earlier than possibly anticipated and that's a win for boxing in general. Hopefully, he's as brave in the ring as it appears he is being out of the ring.

something is wrong with you for real man. If you can't hold an inteligent debate and state facts not opinions why are you even here? Just to be an annoying, immature little brat? Cause you are definitely gettin that part accomplished.

Why do people always say floyd didn't want the fight and he was pushed into a corner? Do you not realize that YOU DONT HAVE TO FIGHT ANYBODY!!! Why do you think that people we're so worried that Floyd wouldn't sign the contract? Maybe because he didn't have to if he didn't want to!! Get it! And you can't say that people would of called him a punk or a ducker because most of you already have labeled him the greatest ducker of all time. So how would not taking the Mosley fight make it any worse? Please you kids bore me.

I mean, it's ridiculous how some of these guys on here
act when it comes to Floyd Mayweather Jr. I just don't
get it. Ok we know that they don't like him and that's fine
but atleast put your emotional, metrosexual feelings aside
and talk about boxing on a boxing chat site. I think alot
of the people on here that don't like Floyd are the ones that
wrote him a letter and didn't get a reply or saw him in person
and didn't stop to talk to them. Altering posts, calling others
who posts names? Man, feels like I'm in public school all over
                again.

                  you're going 80 in a 55 mph zone!!!
In the general forum of public opinion, it would have most likely been a devastating blow to Floyd's negotiating power if he would have accepted any of the "mentioned" fights, prior to the Mosley being available, instead of fighting Mosley. Hell, Malignaggi was rumored at one point! What the hell?!?!!

Look, Mayweather already got a black eye for "retiring" when the WW division was hot. Then he returns to fight Marquez? I wanted to see Marquez do good, but nobody actually expected him to win. Hell, I gave Marquez more credit for that fight than Floyd.

Again, it's one thing for him to be labled a punk by public opinion, but let's go one step further.
When was the last time you heard Floyd accept a 50/50 contract? Money Floyd, that is. There's a good argument for why he agreed to that during the Pacquiao negotiations. He had not "hot iron" other than being Floyd Mayweather.
With Mosley and Berto fighting, and Pacquiao negotiations going to pot, he waas left with few options that made any fight easy while still making him look good. It's a win/win for him.

Suddenly, Mosley is available....oh oh...that was not planned. I believe he was put in a position that he was not ready to be in so soon.

Maybe you should slow down a lil bruh because Ellerbe
said if the Pacquiao negotiations fell through then Mosley
was the next option. Once that tragedy happened in Haiti,
Mayweather jumped on the opportunity to fight Shane because
Shane was the 2nd biggest fight after Pacquiao. Prior to the
negotiations falling through with Pac, Floyd hadn't even announced
who he was going to fight, only speculations and names were thrown
out that weren't confirmed. At one point, Team Mayweather was
hinting that Floyd may wait for a later date to return because I
think he was eyeing the winner of Berto/Mosley. Even Pac was
thinking about fighting Malignaggi at one point and Pauli was
dogging Pac. Seriously though, Floyd is about his paper and
that is what he wants. Why would a guy who was raised in
an all boxing family and fought 40 times, be scared to fight
someone he chased up to 147 in his prime, 10 years later?
I don't get people saying Floyd is scared to lose considering
he could of lost several times in them 40 fights especially
                      when he was at 130/135.
